听大家建议。
以前在学校file的I140， title： Research associate， SOC：2032
现在在公司 title Senior chemist，做的也是材料 和化学差不多混杂在一起的活。
查了一下：
19-2030 Chemists and Materials Scientists
19-2031 Chemists
19-2032 Materials Scientists
请问SOC现在填哪个好。。。是不是2032估计不行？因为title是chemist。。。那是不
是填2030最好？ 准备先填了在去找HR ，不知道能不能不经过老板，老板估计不一定乐
意。

开工如果不能在规模上超过老化工厂必须用新的工艺技术，那么本来这些事情应该是
chemist做的，因为我们更熟悉，可是化工厂或者化学公司认为chemist只能小试不能放

我两年前申请h1b时用的job title 是chemist，但是随着公司部门的变化，我现在实际
所做的工作是quality management，所以我实际的job role更像是quality engineer。
这几天，公司正在给我准备PERM，由于公司规模不大，绿卡律师是我自己联系的（他也
帮我办过H1b）。
现在问题是：
在PERM/140 阶段，我该用哪个job title？
• 律师给我的建议是 Senior Chemist，他认为和h1b的job title 保持一致
比较方便。
• 公司的HR和legal team认为我现在的job role已经不是chemist了 需要用
quality engineer 去申请。但是这样的话，我的律师告诉我在做PERM 之前就还得做
h1b amendment，又是一笔不小的费用，如果不走premium processing，估计还得耽误
几个月的时间。

general，就是化学相关专业本科，prefer硕士或博士with2，4，7年不等的经验，没有
任何具体的skill或者knowledge描述，是真招人吗？

假定说，到一定的地步，人就不折腾了。比如，当了tenure，做了chemist IV之类的。
数学上，表达为：
V(tenure)=F(tenure)=$85K.
V(chemist IV)=F(chemist IV)=$90K.
这个不折腾，数学上有专门的用语，叫adsorbent point。
因为某种因素无法折腾，也叫不折腾 or stopping time。数学上：
Max{V(接着折腾)P(接着折腾), V(不折腾)P(不折腾)}
结果发现，比如说，概率都是P(接着折腾)= P(不折腾)=1/2，但是算下来还是V(不折腾
) > V(接着折腾)
或者哪，干脆P(接着折腾)=0.你太老了用完了所有时间。比如那个西岸杀人的老吴。47
岁了。没法折腾了。干脆崩了这帮孙子。
那么，什么叫折腾哪？

won the prize. I don't want to comment on the giants, such as RBW, EJC, Sir
RR, KBS and 野依良治. What I want to say is that KCN currently is one of the
few best of the best synthetic chemists. If other synthetic chemist(s)
would be the prize winner, but not KCN,it should be a shame.
overall, as a trend, it seemed the prize would not prefer synthetic chemists
, whom, I think, are undervalued by the prize committee. Synthesis |

在身边只是自己还不知道啊。职业的diversify很重要的。跳舞的人在生活中能看出来
气质就是不一样啊。
我继续问：那你在这里也工作一段时间了，你对我的职业有啥建议么？
答：很简单，为了适应公司现在招人的模式，你需要发现或者发展你的最有代表性的闪
光点。
问：那这个闪光点可不可以说我是个通才，我懂点gc，懂点hplc，懂点nmr。
答：errrr。这个好像不行，首先你如果说你是个通才，那么听起来就没有一个人说我
是gc chemist更专业，更闪光。另外现在很多10年20年的经验的chemist在市场上，你
让我招个通才干什么呢？我可以consult他们或者然他们来contract啊。
问：那我如果定位自己是个gc chemist，加入某天公司有空位确是个hplc职位，我不操
蛋了。
答：世界上招工的又不是一个单位，现在公司招人都这样，你要碰运气啊。不过如果你
没有一个亮点，到哪都不好过。
和经理谈完话可想而知我的心情不好，因为这是对化学这个行业工业界形势的整体的灰
