experience. But does it matter whether it's internal moot court competition
or external national competition? Since I can't choose both, I wonder if
someone could give some advice on which one is more preferable.
On one hand, I feel the external ones are better because you get one-on-one
advising sessions with professors; on the other hand, the internal one shows
up as "member, Honors Moot Court Board" on the resum |

刚进入公司的时候有2年的non-competitive agreement，就是说离开公司2年内不可以
进这家公司。
但是对方这家公司的产品很多，我进去的话，不会从事现在公司从事的工作。
怎么样才能避开这个问题？

的理解就是（至多）12月之内都不能在金融行业工作了啊。部分摘要如下：
“Competitive Activity” shall include ... being employed by ... any
investment adviser, investment manager, hedge fund, private or public
investment fund ...
想请教一下街上前辈都有这类条款吗？实际中具体是怎么操作的？难道我被公司fired
了，12个月之内也不能找新工作（Agreement中说会付base salary)。

是决定是基于review panel, 虽然都是competitive, 但panel可能会排个名. 所以, 也
不要太寄希望于和PM的联系.
另外, 广开"钱"路, 别只盯着NSF. 记得以前看过一个贴子里说, NSF的钱是钱,
Walmart的钱也是钱,能拿到钱把research做下去就行. |

funded after three competitive propsals not being funded in the past.
Acutally, tonight, I just learned that my another "compettive" proposal is
declines because of some misundertanding in the panel review. I learned that
how to best present the proposal is very important, because our proposals
may well be reviewed by people who are not experts in our specific areas and
who may also be opinonated. |

我现在在一家公司做analyst，H1B，最近有点想换个公司，但是进公司的时候签了一个
Non-Disclosure, non-competition agreement。这个里面有一条好像是说离开工作的
一年之内，不能到直接或间接的竞争对手那里工作。
但是作为analyst，技术上面的东西不多，换工作的话，肯定是相同行业的比较好找。
公司有个同事跟我说，这个东西对有绿卡或者国籍的人没什么影响，公司也不会去找律
师告的。而且公司很多人就是从竞争对手那里挖过来的。
但是如果像我这样的H1B，如果想换同行业的工作的话，这个agreement会不会对我有影
响？具体说，HR可不可以因为这个东西，不transfer我的H1B？

两边都高兴。人家招人的没像你那样想。
每个人情况不一样，只是参考而已。我去negotiate之前很多细节让我觉得可以去再要
些，有很微妙的东西写不出来。我已经把大概背景说了。你周围的人际关系让你没把握
这样做不代表我，你不需要替我捏汗，manager跟recruiter说他当年也用的这招要了点
小涨，"I like this guy"。这样的逻辑也很简单，不给我涨点我就接着找，没错啊。
我没competitive offer你告诉我怎么拉下脸皮不扯这些虚的bs？anyway，你不是我未
来的雇主，让你不舒服也没关系。 |

劣汰。公司太烂，自然应该让好人能人离开公司去好的去处。所以在一些州是非法的，
比如加州，相信不久将来在整个美国这种AGREEMENT都会是违法的，因为这个实际上是
阻碍了经济的发展，阻碍了优胜劣汰的资本主义竞争。 |

我把NON COMPETE CLAUSE复制在下面了，我想请教各位前辈：
1. 我查到美国只有加州是禁止NON COMPETE AGREEMENT的。那么在加州以外的IT公司是
不是都会签NON COMPETE AGREEMENT？
2. 这种规定在实际中执行的怎样？以后跳槽公司真的会追究吗？RECRUITER说由于他们
的规定实在过分严格，在实际中是没有执行效力的。不知道是不是在骗我。
3. 在申请所有公司职位的时候，公司都会问你是否有和其他公司签过NON COMPETE
AGREEMENT。如果我以后告诉其他公司我有签过NC，是不是会影响跳槽？
