East Asia alone (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan) could be mostly self-sustained
if not completely. If US gives up the cheap labor in south Asia, somebody
will fill in the void.
Cuba is an interesting story. Cuban immigrants are a major pool of voters
for GOP. Normalizing with Cuba and stopping the dry feet and wet feet rule
is a good step towards limiting the growth of this GOP voters pool.

who evaluated American and Canadian diplomats working in Havana diagnosed
them with conditions as serious as mild traumatic brain injury, and with

2010 (4 November): Aero Caribbean flight 883 crashed during a scheduled
flight from Cuba’s second city, Santiago, to Havana with the loss of 68
lives. The European-made ATR 72 crashed about halfway through the journey,

喝不睡。 今年突然兴趣全无，积攒了好多照片，现在才想起来，重温 2012 年12月31
日。
每年12月31日午夜， 伦敦眼旁，泰晤士河岸边都会烟花齐放， 庆祝新一年的到来。
半年前就开始考虑订一个泰晤士河边的餐厅或酒店，就不必即在熙熙攘攘的人群里看烟
花了。 只是一直没有确定下来是否会在伦敦过年， 拖拖沓沓的，到了12月30日下午才
拿起电话，试着订一个河边的餐厅座位，可想而知，位置好的餐厅都满员。 只有比较
远的St. Martin's Lane Hotel 里的 Asia de Cuba 还有座。
伦敦有两家以超现实主义风格的装修而闻名的酒店，St. Martin's Lane Hotel 就是其
中之一。
酒店大厅。 著名西班牙超现实主义艺术家Salvador Dalí的风格。
Asia de Cuba， 像谁家的书房。 这家餐厅以提供Fusion菜肴著称，即西餐中融入亚洲
和中美洲的味道，并不对我的口味，从菜肴到鸡尾酒，怎得一个怪字了得。
虾还不错，味道像极了国外流行的“中餐” 名菜“酸甜虾”。
