关于用词
最常翻译成英文新约里“Lord”的希腊词是“kurios”，说的是某个有权力、所有
权和无可置疑的指挥权的人。一个相近的希腊词despotes有时候也翻译成新约里的“
Lord”，意思是一个对下属有绝对控制的统治者。Murray J Harris教授这样解释两个

考证完毕朱学勤先生的第七章第五节，与小女子上次考证的第八章第五节结果一样，基
本完全（本节共8页，四小段除外）来自Blum一书，惊讶得说不出话了。那就什么都不
说了。黑色字体为朱原文，红色字体为本人考证内容。本节朱文共使用了9个脚注，也
很巧合，这9个脚注在Blum一书中均出现，引用的内容与 Blum一书也完全相同，而且，
本节的脚注只有一个提到了Blum。而从考证的内容看，其实本节都是来源于Blum。因此

此一名詞乃K.A. Wittfogel教授于其一九五七年所出版之Oriental Despotism一書
時，首先用之。其含義不但為政治的，且為社會的。根Julius Gould與William L
. Kolb所編之社會科學辭典(A Dictionary of the Social Sciences)，解釋此名
詞如下：『Wittfogel教授認為「東方專制主義」一詞，不僅意指其為政府之一類
型，且指其為整個社會結構之一型式。Wittfogel教授于其書中亦稱此種社會為「
水力社會」(hydroulic society)。此社會之特徵：(一)專制。(二)集權的官僚行
政。(三)缺少穩定的上層階級。(四)商人居于附屬地位。(五)奴隸制度之存在。(

Magna Carta是人类历史上最重要的宪法文件，是所有现代社会文明的基础文件。没有
Magna Carta, 英国不会成为大英帝国，也不会有美国，也不会有中国现在的各种物质
文明。
Magna Carta要求英国国王也必须遵守法则，確立國王必須諮詢貴族才能徵稅，所有未
来的报纸，私人权利，财产被保护，法律面前人人平等，due process, 规律选举，合

每读一次就不得不再次感慨当时立国之父们的英明及远见。他们在北美这块土地上，抛
弃了大不列颠的君王统治，建立起美利坚这样一个伟大的国家。
一切似乎都是上帝赐予的：这块土地上不仅有雄伟壮观的东部阿普拉契山脉及西部的落
基山脉，而且有着从广袤无际的大草原到美丽宽阔的大海洋，这富绕的土地难道不是一
