标 题: 请问美国的房子地下室有mice普遍吗

看了一个房子，格局什么的都满意，
但是地下室木头上有mice啃过的痕迹，
车库和门廊里也分别发现了mice dropping，
两次看房子倒是没看到活动的mice
这个房子两个月没人住了，
在搬进去之前让pest control的人彻底捕杀一遍再把洞封上会有效果吗？
本人实在是太太太害怕老鼠了。
但是好像因为有mice痕迹就放弃房子是不是有点可笑啊。。。。
如果这种问题很普遍可能就咬牙接受了，然后买个insurance啥的。
对了，院子里散放的几块破木头上，还有flower bed的木头下也发现了地下的那种白蚁
，房子里面的结构据说没什么问题，但地下室都装修了，那些梁啊什么的也看不见。
哎，是不是有了后院就要整天deal with这些乱七八糟的小动物和虫子啊，
搞的我都想住回apt或者买个新点的condo算了。 |

大脑的神经传导物质5-羟色胺（5-hydroxytryptamine，5HT）是个很关键的东西，
经常用来做anti-depressed药物，所以一般抑郁症患者会缺乏5HT
然后，万恶的科学家（饶毅）就把合成5HT的酶从小鼠的基因里敲出了。这个可怜
的小鼠就变gay鸟！！同时对待female和male，它对female视而不见，坚定的跟在
male后面跑，还英勇的冲上去爆菊了！！（原文还有个video，，，看的姐都羞涩
了。。。）
然后，万恶的科学家又给直接向大脑里注射了5-HT，这可怜的小鼠又被掰直了！！
！又放弃男鼠追着女鼠跑了！！！还有英勇的去mate了！！

For example, if you are studying a kinase function in neurobiology. You
found total KO of your gene leads to embryonic lethal phenotype, and
conditional KO of your gene in neuron leads to very interesting phenotype.
Culturing of KO neuron in vitro also showed dramatic phenotype.
Interestingly, restoration of kinase dead (KD) mutant in KO neuron fully
rescued the phenotype (same as restoration of WT).

that eating gelatin can improve your skin because it’s broken down in your
digestive tract. But I did some quick research and found a 2010 study done
2010 with mice eating gelatin and being protected against skin-collagen loss
from sunlight.

newegg.com on black Friday. This means I have only ONE receipt which shows I
bought TWO mice. There is a $10 rebate for this mouse, and the rebate form
says : Limit 2 rebates per product per household . When I claim the rebate,
which of the 3 methods below is the correct one in order for me to get full
rebate($20 = $10 x2) back for both mice.

If you think {10 bottles,2 poisonous} problem is difficult,
why not try {6 bottles,2 poisonous} problem first?
Based on the theory of "6 choose 2", there are 15 cases. So
it seems 4 mice are enough. Please try this in a brute force
fashion.

you gonna breed all of the Cre+ mice with Cre- mice to figure out which is
homo Cre? Since the mice are good for breeder only 6 months or so, by the
time you figure out which is homo Cre, you are only left with 3 months. I do
not think it is practical to do this routinely.
RACE, is Rapid Amplification of cDNA Ends which is used to get full-lenght
cDNA, has nothing to do with insertional site analysis.

company. The entire gene is knocked out with all the exons and introns
being replaced with a reporter gene (lacZ) cassette. We got the
heterozygous (+/-) mice and I did the breeding. But now I have trouble

从人刚开始建立小鼠纯系的时候，无意识的就以reproduction和viability来选择小鼠
，所以能活下来的都是一些特定的基因组合（strain），就这样也有些strain在某些方
面讨某些领域的厌。
人开始研究lifespan的时候并没有进一步去把这些老鼠怎么样。
所以我觉得wild mice值得研究，但是不能就此夸张的说lab mice 的data没有意义什么的
