下面是我女儿在高中三年级（2015-2016学年）选修高中《美国历史大学先修课》（AP
American History）时所写的学期论文（junior thesis）。本地高中学生一般公认高
中文科最具挑战的课程就是《美国历史大学先修课》。我女儿总体上比较爱好理工科课
程，对我这个文科专业的父亲来说，总觉得高中文科的课程也是极有意义的。然而我女
儿是一名多年参加体操俱乐部系统训练（每周要有20多小时的体操训练，还要加上外出
参加比赛的时间）的运动员，因此对选修这门阅读量很大的美国历史大学先修课程颇有
顾虑。我考虑到这门课程的对女儿的阅读，思维和写作都有很大帮助，就极力鼓励她选
修这门课程，并且“保证”如果学期成绩只能获得B也不会有所“责难”。最后女儿“
不知深浅”地选修了这门高中文科重头课程，即使在就读期间她还一直有点“耿耿于怀
”。

生活中产阶级教育留学移民修改
为什么很多中产阶级不希望留学的子女回国？修改
（我改动了标题，原文是 “为什么越是中产阶级越希望自己的子女移民？”）
鄙人及朋友在国外留学，通过交流发现了以下现象：对我们这些身在国外的留学生，从
父母的状况来看，越是中产阶级越希望自己的子女留在国外。
问题就写在标题里，我不知道我的观察对不对，下面我描述一下我见到的现象及个人感
受，有请高人解惑。我感觉我不完全是个案，我相信知乎上也有不少人有类似的感受的。
具体表现如下，父母一辈，勤勤恳恳，经济上立下了一份家业，有房有车，不能算无产
阶级，头等舱自费坐不起，但是一定的消费能力还是有的（二三线城市）。在社会上也
算中等偏上，各自单位里也要管若干人，做点事情，可以说也见过些不太大的世面。小
孩（也就是我们这些人）也受过相对良好的教育，上的比较好的大学，又申请到全额奖
学金出了国。

的 “意见”，说白了是 push back 极左的 narrative，别天天拿烧国旗 来当 第一修
正案 言论自由权益。

奥巴这八年，因为国会“抵制”，没有真正“改变”美国立国之本，也就是相对于“立

西方所谓的Classical Education的第一阶段称为Memory Stage,学生要背诵许多的
facts,包括诗歌，文学和历史经典。
同意北大所说的关于non-narrative writing. 有些有分量的书（包括non-narrative）
确实不适合只用听的。很少有人愿意听而不是看research paper吧？
忘记讲，我听的那个讲座主要是针对小学到初中的学生的写作。在这个阶段，一般还不
会涉及很复杂有分量的non-narrative writing吧。我想，小学到初中的学生，或者成
人在学习外语时，多听优美的经典诗歌和文学历史故事，对培养对好的语言的敏感和欣

阁下当年幼小的心灵对《刀》印象如何？
确实肉痛，尤其《刀》很多打斗是真人实拍。
多几句好话：
私以为《刀》不仅技术上比如bgm（虽然不觉得称的上大师比肩胡金铨）、画面相当成
熟；故事、全片衔接也相当成熟，是徐克的巅峰。所谓巅峰也可说后继无力。。。
《刀》有（粉丝）评论认为是徐实验作品，故事逻辑也混乱。我看法和他们相反，要说
明相反不妨扯上另一两部作品：
艾伦坡。poe在本土批评如潮，一大恶评是他中学生似的卖弄辞藻，矫揉造作。这些不
论，poe的小说确实有文字风格monotonic的堆砌，令人昏昏欲睡；人物刻画几乎全无，
更谈不上发展的特点；即使是粉丝，也常常读不下去他的作品（当然作为外国人，生词
太多也是障碍。），这观感直到我读到他的中篇：

中国为什么会成功？这是复旦大学政治学教授、中国发展模式研究中心主任张维为多年
来努力试图阐明的一个问题，既是向中国人自己，更是向国际社会。
昨天（6月12日），《纽约时报》刊登对张维为教授的采访，张教授指出：西方不少媒
体和批评人士对中国社会实际状况的歪曲，让他想起了1793年英国使者马嘎尔尼访问中
国的情景。在那时，清朝的乾隆皇帝在异国使节面前摆出一副傲慢的姿态，展现着中国
版的“历史终结”论。如今，西方民主“历史终结”论甚嚣尘上，事情难道正在发生反
转？这一命运似乎降临到了西方头上：西方正在变成傲慢的“乾隆”？
张维为教授认为，对这种傲慢，最好的回应方式就是讲好中国故事，形成新的“中国话
语”，造就新的“中国叙事”。
