，我查证得名由来，原来是它们酷似意大利哑剧中多姿多彩的角色——丑角，故名之。
丑鸭大小跟家鸭差不多，喜欢成群，常在水流湍急、多岩礁的海岸附近觅食，通常不高
飞，但飞得很快。为了拍它们，我得跑到海边嶙恂的岩礁，躲在岩石后，降低身子来观
察和拍摄。靠近岸边的岩石上面因海水浸泡，长有海草，海水退潮后海草仍然滑溜，加
上岩石崎岖不平，不小心就滑倒摔伤，而且器材也完蛋。我有一鸟友在那摔倒过，他脚
踏在一块岩石上，没想到那石头是动的，他一下失去平衡，当时他肩上扛着近三十磅的
器材。在倒下的瞬间，他想到的不是如何保护他自己，而是600mm大炮，他紧抱大炮，
拿自身作肉垫，倒在了地上。大炮是保住了，但他的额头人中处给岩石划破，血流如注
。呵呵，可见拍这海鸭不容易。后来我曾到海岸的最高点看到丑鸭在两块露在海面上的
小礁上嬉戏，很想到它们后面偷拍，但一看到有近百米路段的大石块要爬就作罢。

高中公认是西北最好。如果上西北高中，住在oak ridge, colfax, summerfield都可能
，当然看住在oak ridge, summerfield哪个地方，也有可能上northern。Northern
High是个新学校，美国人很爱去，但是数据不是太多，中国人普遍不太信得过这种没经
过实践检验的新学校。所以如果一定要上西北的话，买房、租房前一定要弄清楚是不是
属于西北辖区。
初中Kernodle最好，西北也很好。Kernodle属于Greensboro，只有Greensboro西北和一
小片儿summerfield的地方可以上。前面有个贴子说小学Pearce，中学Kernodle,高中西
北，那个选择范围是非常小的。
小学最好的三间是oak ridge, summerfield 和 E.P.Pearce，这三间greatschools上评
分都是10分. oak ridge, summerfield 是历史上口碑一直很好的学校，Pearce是间新

state where 145 corpses have surfaced following reports of passengers being
pulled off buses in the area by gunmen and disappearing, state prosecutors
