对刘晓波问题的讨论大概不会结束。为什麽中国人自己？因为我无法想像外国人能弄明
白刘晓波到底是怎麽回事。这阵子不时想起杀妻后自杀的中国诗人顾城那句话∶“老外
哪儿懂咱中国人呵。”我甚至感觉，如果刘晓波的《末日幸存者的独白》（以下简称《
独白》）翻成外文了，也不会有几个外国人真看得懂。在西方住久了，真是越来越感叹
，中国人的确是颇有自己的“特色”，我从未在西方的“人物们”中见识过类似刘晓波
的例子。
刘晓波被捕后，我写过两篇文章对他的观点和行为提出异议（“刘晓波的谏言路走得通
吗？”“刘晓波最后陈述的争议”），却没想发表关于他的更深一层的思考。现在刘晓
波虽仍在坐牢，但他不仅有了诺贝尔和平奖的巨大保护伞，成了“贵族囚犯”，也成了
中国民运的代表和象徵性人物，所以对刘晓波的讨论，就是另一个层次的问题了。
我曾相当地欣赏过刘晓波，欣赏的是带著个人主义气息和独立思考精神冲进文坛的那匹
黑马。四分之一的世纪过去了，今天刘晓波获得了诺贝尔和平奖，我却不仅找不到当年

Why do so many Chinese study physics and math relative to Americans?
The answer may be similar to why Germans, Swiss and Danes studied physics
and math, relative to Americans, prior to WWII.
That being, a long history of intellectual cultures in those other countries
and the lack of one here.

美国对外和对内的宣传战很重要的一环一直是所谓的自由，尤其是言论自由。最常用的
论述是以美国的总统为例子：既然美国人可以随意批评总统，而美国人想要颠覆的那些
国家不允许那様的任意批评，美国自然是优越的自由灯塔。雷根常说一个笑话：一个美
国人和一个俄国人互吹他们的言论自由，美国人夸说我随时可以到白宫外面，骂美国总
统是白痴；俄国人反唇说我也可以随时到克里姆林宫外，大骂美国总统是白痴。这种思
维在冷战结束后并没有随之消失，反而成为欧亜很多国家的所谓民主斗士的中心思想。
其实，如同其他美国宣传战的内容一様，这也是个谎话，只不过是个高明的谎话。表面
上整个论述都是事实，真正的问题出在他没有说出来的逻辑前提（logical Premise）
上，也就是美国的总统等同于其他国家的领导阶层，一様是国家权力的中心，所以百姓
对他自由批评的权利，代表了民眾在美式民主里至高无上的地位。实际上美国真正的权
力中心自尼克森后根本不在政府，而在幕后的金主，总统只是他们的傀儡木偶，也是箭

生意，但因为批评官府的企业政策，尤其是普京的铁哥们开的石油公司，和普京和黑帮
结下梁子。
05年他在莫斯科的办公室被警察抄了，抢走2亿多说是用来还签政府的税。 公司的税法
律师Magnitsky跑去理论被逮捕，后来死在监狱。
至此Browder一直想法给Magnitsky报仇。终于在12年国会通过Magnitsky法案，冻结包
括普京本人的在内的俄国富豪在美国的财产，之后欧洲也采取了类似行动。 这从此就
成了普京和Browder的个人恩怨。
2016年俄国律师在疮破大厦和小疮，女婿见面时专门提供了Browder和生意伙伴Ziff
Brothers Investments给欧巴马政治捐款的备忘录。但没有任何关于给克林顿捐款的信
息。
对于普京指控的四亿给希拉里的捐款，Browder说普京是信口开河，因为如此大的金额
很容易查到。
另外Browder是英国公民，美国政府不可能拿他交易。
