早就打算写文章总结一下自己R&R的经验。希望能对大家有帮助。
如果拿到了R&R，恭喜你。你向发表文章迈进了关键的一大步。对于经济类杂志的R&R，
大部分文章在修改后都被最后接受了。当然，很多文章在最后被接受前都经过了2,3，
甚至4轮的修改。这里提一句题外话。我对目前这种处理文章发表的方式很反感。不知
道为什么以提高效率为研究对象的经济学家发明了一套这么低效率的系统。文章的修改
最后完全变成了一个取悦于referee的过程，无数的时间被用来做一些边际效率为0甚至
负数的修修补补。
我觉得一个合理的系统应该是这样的。referee最多只能要求两轮修改，而且只能对文
章的观点，或者方法上面进行评价，不能对文章具体的组织机构等细节方面要求修改。
referee在第一轮提出自己的观点，不行的立马据掉。有希望的，提出自己的修改意见
。作者修改后，referee如果对修改完全不满意，立刻拒掉。觉得可以了就接受，觉得
什么地方修改不到位的话，要求进一步修改。但不能提出新的问题。碰到过几次搅屎棍

的，审稿意见压根没提实验，直接说这个实验的理论有问题。但我们这个实验的理论已
经发表在PRA上，显然这个Referee的说法是很容易驳斥的。我们Response也反驳了
Referee B。第二轮Referee A还是同意发表，Referee B任然认为理论有问题。编辑然
后又找了Referee C。Referee C（已经猜到是一个实验组做理论的人）的审稿意见让人
非常愤怒。我们的实验结果比之前所有的实验都要好很多，但Referee C说之前做的实
验只要用了某个方法也可以做出我们的结果。姑且不说Referee C提的这种方法是否可
行，用这种argument来评价已经做出的实验结果是否有些荒唐？况且如果这个简单的方
法可行为什么没有人使用？Referee C接着顺着Referee B说理论有问题，却压根不提我

prl被拒的情况：
第一轮一positive一negative，第二轮一positive一审稿人（negative那个）无回复，
第三轮俩新审稿人一positive一negative强烈反对，然后被拒；
prl被接受的情况：
第一轮两人都postive但有意见，第二轮一positive仍有意见，修改后第三轮通过。
俺最近还有一篇别的杂志的文章，记得清楚一点：
投稿被编辑拒了，然后appeal，送出审稿，第一轮一referee很高评价但要求改进，一
referee有意见要求回答，一referee有意见反对发表；按照第一个referee的建议提供
新材料后，第二轮第一个referee赞成发表，第二个referee有很高评价赞成发表，第三
个referee有不同意见反对发表；然后我们给editor写信说明第三个referee根本就不理
解我们的文章并且他的建议有问题，建议编辑停止其继续审稿直接接受我们的文章，
editor把第三个referee的意见和我们的反馈交给第二个referee要求评论，第二个
referee证明第三个referee的建议的确有问题，然后 |

发帖数: 111 | 45 1）如果你有三个referees，主要看编辑的态度，编辑的positive态度可以至少抵消一
个非常negative的referee（当然前提是另外两个referees比较positive）。如果给
revision机会，这时不要要求换referee，因为这会让编辑很难办，尤其是那个
referree是个大牛；
rebuttal提交后，如果那个referee还刁难，就需要争取编辑来overrule那个referee；
如果编辑不同意，他会主动建议你找一个新的referee。
注意，除非你老板是绝对大牛（既然你来mitbbs上问，我就suppose你的老板不是大牛
），否则任何时候轻易不要换referee，一旦新的referee仍然negative，就给了编辑很
好的理由来据你的文章；
2）如果你只有两个referees，更不要轻易换，原因同上，总之争取revision再说，除
非不给revision的机会，否则不换也不申诉，任何时候都要礼貌

发帖数: 438 | 48 居然有这样的referee，太不professoional了。感觉有点儿自恋。首先，这个referee
并不能代表所有人。即使他觉得文章值得发表，没准儿别的referee建议锯掉呢。稍微
好点儿的杂志只要有一个referee建议据，基本结果都是据。其次，referee只是帮助
editor提参考意见，并没有决定权。editor享有100%的决定权，不然谁还当editor干什
么。有时候如果第一轮儿的两个referee都建议R&R 但editor不喜欢文章，personality
强的editor当场就据了。碰到好点儿的editor会把文章先发给additional referee(s)
，只要能找到一个人要据你的文章，editor就会毫不犹豫地锯掉。如果你人品爆发，
additional referee仍然建议R&R，editor可能会改变他的原来的印象。但就算所有
referee都建议R&R，editor仍然有权力把文章锯掉。你碰到的这个referee太把自己当
根葱了。
另外一个可能就是他在report中给了你很明显的暗示他是谁。所以害怕你以后给他下绊
子，在这里向你表明自己当初给 |

儿子不成器，居然喜欢踢球，把我又拉回了球场。一两年前我也参加了这个裁判培训。
错过了第一天，只参加了第二天的培训，当场考试通过，其实主办者比你还担心你通不
过考试，太缺裁判了。
春暖花开，晒着太阳，吹着口哨，徜徉于美国的各色花朵（绝大部分是6至14岁少
