但是审稿意见很有意思。referee A说这篇论文完全没有新意，坚决毙掉是必须的；
referee B说这篇论文的解析解很漂亮，应用也很有新意，立刻接受是必须的。
Editor可能是觉得referee A胡说八道，就遵照referee B的意见接受了，没要求任何修
改。 |

surprising（审稿人B认为用他的理论能很容易解释我们发现的现象），不适合在PRL发
表，但我们发现他的解释部分是错误的，所以写了reply。现在二审都快一个半月了，
其中一个审稿人还没给出report，会不会不审了啊?
像这种情况是不是希望不大了啊（我们文章中没有大牛署名）？
各位有经历过类似情况么？

可要求送新的referee里审？editorial policy里提到DAE may act as “super”
referee and evaluate the manuscript as a specialist or may seek further
anonymous referee evaluation. 个人觉得appeal几率小，可能是因为如果DAE只是
review了一下所有以前版本的manuscript, comments, 维持原判的可能性比较高，所以
想尽量争取再外审。
另appeal letter强调文章本身novelty之类的是肯定的，其他方面应该强调哪些比较好
？去驳斥referee的评审应该不行吧？

一个yes, 一个no, 只有三个选择: 1. 收. 2. 改. 3. 据.
你的例子, 估计编辑看不出你能怎么改(又不是有什么具体问题,
而是referee认为你的文章内容根本不属于该journal), 所以选了"3".
如果我是这个编辑, 要么选3, 要么再找一个referee, 也就是这样了.
如果图省事, 肯定选3, 一免得你觉得拖得太长, 二你要是不接受这个决定,
自然会要求再找一个referee, 等你提了要求再做也不晚.
Nature Science 这种杂志的编辑我们不去说, 一般物理journals
的编辑, 我没看到有几个会明确表达自己对你paper在
science方面的意见的. 编辑就是简单的按照惯例, 根据referee的意见
做决定. |

我PhD的老板是第一个，问了老板一下她一口答应了。
因为是fresh phd,没啥network，有限认识的几个人里觉得这两个比较合适：
A教授，牛校牛教授，老板闺蜜，每年至少来我lab访问一次，每次我都会做
presentation给她，从第一次见面到现在都有四年了，我今年发表的一篇文章还挂了她
的名字。
B教授，牛校牛教授，我们lab的collaborator,去年我师姐生孩子，我接她的工作帮B教
授组做了几个月上游的工作，为他们提供scaffold来养stem cell. 和B教授meet和
discuss过几次，她也邀请我参加他们组的outing活动。
我个人觉得和这两个人的关系参合做我的referee,昨天就发了两封email简单介绍了我
正在申请的职位，需要三个推荐人，一两句话概括了和她们之间的来往经历，然后客气
询问她们是否可以做我的referee,balabala....
结果，出乎我意料的是，两人到现在都没有理我。。。。这俩人以前我以前向他们汇报

从上一轮开始referee一直纠结我的英文写作能力，并明确要求找个copy editor帮我修
改。其实我每轮都找，到现在已经花了2k刀在这上面了，但是一直没有改到referee满
意的程度。这一轮刚收到report，referee很气愤，甚至质疑我根本没有找copy editor
，言辞非常激烈。
不知道各位大大能否推荐一位经管类靠谱的copy editor？ |

2.我觉得这个editor很专业。匿名审稿好处不用说，缺点就是可以蒙脸报复攻击不喜欢
的人。撕逼不是不行，但是如果撕得不专业，那么匿名审稿这个制度对学术的发展就是
不利的。这个过程里面全靠editor来掌握，如果editor机械的服从规则，那就太教条了
。所以这种referee就应该得到惩罚。一般referee可能不喜欢你，但是通常也不敢太造
次就是因为还有editor看着。
另外看到这个版上这么多人都觉得这个referee很正常，觉得学术界真是风气都坏了。
这种人常见并不意味着这种做法是合理的。 |

editor的话是套话。
总的来讲是positive news. 如果你能把除了改model的那一条都改了的话，希望很大，
建议走2.
回复意见里写清楚一点为什么没有按照referee 说的改。态度要好一点，赞赏referee
的意见，然后说自己为什么不能那样做。
你把自己设身处地带入第二个referee的角度想想就全明白了，没什么好纠结的。
假设你是他/她：等你收到修改稿，第一反应是什么呢？是你的建议被驳回了。说明什
么？Editor不认同你的看法。既然Editor这么干，说明Editor喜欢这文章。既然
Editor喜欢这文章，你除非是特别senior，也没什么必要继续跟这文章对着干。
大多数情况都是这样的。 |

I thought the interview went well and the HM told me the decision should be
made in two weeks.
1/30 the HM emailed me for my reference list (I provided 3 referees).
2/1 My first referee (My PhD advisor) was contacted.
But after that I heard nothing form them.
2/6 I emailed the HM to ask for the decision and he replied the next day

都叫background check
第一步是reference check
先找referees，而且很多公司点名要上司（manager，team lead这种）
不是上司不行，所以如果你找的是同事的话
对方往往第一个问题就是，你跟被推荐人什么关系？
如果不是上司的话，会打电话来跟你二次确认
要求再次提供上司的联系方式etc.
hr肯定不是你的上司，所以不具备有做referee的资格
第二步是给你发了offer了，什么都谈完了
然后做一个background screening
这个会委托第三方公司来做，这个不需要提供referees
这个有可能只是打打电话问问hr之类的
俺工作过的大公司都是如此
所以前面的人是不是不是在同一个page上讨论问题呀？
一般走的时候，如果是被迫走人的话，就跟领导好好说说
要对方说一些好话，一般都会同意，何必绝人后路呢？
而且反正都要走了，舔着脸要个reference有啥大不了的？
然后再给上司的联系方式，如果上司口气不对，就不要给了

Referee: 素不相识的人才能给出客观的评价。
非独立推荐人=推荐人
独立推荐人=Referee
那律师同时应该建议你除了找推荐人还要找Referee。公司律师主要是找人吵架要钱，
对EB1b申请未必有经验。 |

章引用大概35，因为比较新，都是2011的文章。90%以上是独立引用，所以没有仔细区
分。审稿35+篇，50+次，13个杂志，全英文，一出版社assistant editor，一新创杂志
editorial board member
5封推荐信，两封独立（1美国，1法国），都有引用文献。另外是PHD老板，现在老板，
一合作者（日本）。两个出版社官方证明referee status的信，强调选择referee很谨
慎，并且附有感谢内容。
过程+体会：
开始准备DIY，后来发现人傻，比起同领域很多认识的人，自己case比较弱，虽然引用
多，但是大多数是来自合作文章。LD同学介绍了一律师，开始没有什么概念，只是知道

看到USCIS的信了，果然是0214。我claim了老三样，一条也没有承认。
1. 首先说说我是postdoc不满足就不满足条件。
2. 说的review（我review 31篇）不够，说一定要做过section chair，serve
editorial board （我收到过邀请，但是从来没有做过）
3. 说的citation太少，把我的referee的citation都查出来了（我找的referee
citation都很高😓），然后说我的远远不够。
4. 说我的media report算然不少，但是不是第一作者。（这个我原则可以说明我是理
论第一完成人）。
5. 我的22篇文章，比我的referee的文章要少很多。
要求33天内回复（包括邮寄）。

好像那个杂志是可以选editor的
然后我们coauthor去assign了referee了
那样完全就不是blind referee
两面都知道是谁审谁的文章
那位referee还揪住某几个comment让给改了

看来很多人不知道09年开始的新规则阿.所以我贴个文章.记得
当时灌过一轮水.最后结论好像是,人人都能走步了,Lbj优势不大了,hehe.
