科学家利用数学模型竞相预测病毒的下一步走向，预估它最终可能造成多大损失，以及
隔离患者和限制旅行是否会减缓病毒传播等。
不过，若要得出准确的预测结果，还需要知晓该病毒的传播速率、患病程度以及无症状
患者的传染性等。
由于信息有限，科学家正在勾画病毒可能的传播路径，权衡每种可能性，预测分析疫情
在中国被控制住和在全球暴发的两种场景。
场景一：遏制
最乐观的情况是，2019-nCoV仍主要限于中国境内传播。
迄今为止，99％的确诊病例中发生在中国。牛津大学数学流行病学家Robin Thompson认
为，在其他地方，没有任何人与人之间大量传播的证据。风险可能不像某些模型所预测
得那么高。
如果疫情没有在其他国家持续传播，而中国采取的隔离等措施又减少了感染数量，则传
播风险可能会逐渐下降，最终得以消除病毒。这种情景与2003年SARS暴发的走向类似。
伊拉斯姆斯医学中心的流行病学家Marion Koopmans表示，如果早期就发现并分离出这
种病毒，在新的地区控制疫情可能并不难，不过仍可能产生变数。

我认为这个病毒本身在细胞内复制成功几率并不高，所以大部分人都无症状，只有接触

，砷算是比较少的一个元素。
分布和生产
金属的硫砷化物、金属砷化物和雄黄以及自然界中的砷单质是商品化的砷产品的主要来
源。环境中也有有机砷化合物存在[14] 。有机无机砷及其化合物，一旦进入食物链，
通过甲基化过程逐步代谢为毒性较低的砷。
其他接触到自然界中的砷元素的途径包括火山灰、含砷矿物和矿石的风化和被地下水溶
解。砷也能存在于食物、水体、土壤和空气中。[15]砷能被所有的植物吸收，但更容易
在叶用蔬菜、稻米、苹果和葡萄汁以及海产品中富集。通过呼吸吸入是另一条接触砷的
途径。[16]
根据英国地质调查局和美国地质调查局的统计，在2005年中国出产的砒霜占了世界近50
％的生产份额，是当时世界上最大的砒霜生产国，排名其后的有智利、秘鲁和摩洛哥。
