出生后第二天发现眼睛有脓， 跟护士说， 她说会好的， 第三天出院， 第四天看儿科
医生，说是感染， 开了erythromycin眼药膏， 用了五天不管用， 其间曾打过电话给
儿科医生说不管用， 他们说要等足五天才知道管不管用。 写在这里的时候我又忍不住
想哭。 不能不说是儿科医生太拖延时间， 否则我的宝宝不会受那么多罪。出生第八天
第二次去看儿科医生， 说像viral herpes,建议立刻去医院。
当天去了CHOP, 他们说也像herpes,从此我的宝宝和我们全家开始了痛苦的折磨。 宝宝
被抽血，化验， 最要命的是做spinal tab, 做了6次都抽不到， 在未经我同意的情况
下做了x-ray, 住院后第二天化验结果回来是金黄色葡萄球菌，mecillin resistant，
这就解释了为什么最初用erythromycin 不管用，可是他们依然未能排除herpes 的可能
， 所以又做spinal tab,我的眼泪在那几天都快流光了，刚刚生完小孩， 身体还没有
恢复，天天跟着宝宝住在医院里，那时候就希望自己能再坚强点。

PET is very expensive and has large amount of radiaiton exposure,
I would think he needs a MRI of the brain, and if the MRI of the neck was ok
(that is, no spinal cord compromise), then he might need EMG or a spinal tap

compresses the spinal cord. Generally, surgery is recommended only if there
is risk of neurological compromise or persistent symptoms after conservative
management. In most ppl, pain improves or resolves after 2-3 months, but it
can be miserable 2 months. From what I have seem, avoid surgery if possible

，外加上baby depression，Labor折腾了14个小时，最后宫缩停止，宫口开到6指也没
动静了，耗尽了全身力气，什么罪都受过一茬。最后不得不紧急剖。
这次医生建议直接剖腹产，我想想也是，5年前都没本事自己生下来，现在更别指望啦
，何况，我的血压一直就低——高压跟别人正常的低压差不多，我就别折腾了。于是，
约好的12月8号早晨11点半手术。到医院时不到9点半，停车场竟然没有位置。转了老半
天，好不容易在最顶层的最角落找到一个停车位，check in的时候就快10点了。
check in之后，马上有人把我们带到医院3层的剖腹产手术区，我先被护士领去换衣服
，然后躺在病床上，另外一个护士在我身上绑两个监测探头，一个监测胎心，一个监测
我自己的血压，左边手臂上了IV，右边手臂被抽了两管血，据说要拿到Lab做测试，麻
醉师和主刀的医生需要看到测试结果。Registration 和Check in时候被问过的问题又
重新问了一遍——我就纳闷，他们的系统难道没有病人的信息么，怎么每次都要问同样

layer (剖的话麻药就打在这一层），再往里好像是骨髓。于是，LD问老师麻醉师怎么
知道是不是刚好扎到该去的那一层，老师说扎到Epidual layer的时候会有一定的
resistance,麻醉师凭needle碰到的resistance来判断，当然运气不好万一扎过了，会
有spinal fluid流回针管，这样麻醉师就知道扎过了。万一扎过了，麻醉师会当场告诉
你，因为会导致产后24小时sever headache。

of screening to see baby's neck thickness, then 20 week routine ultrasound.
Most of moms had these three. I had additional one in week 25 for some
condition. I will have 3D/4D ultrasound next week which is not medical
necessary, just to see baby's looking, not covered by insurance.
Ultrasound is very safe per doctors and a lot of research, but no one can
say 100%.

每年的7月中到8月中，是NE钓Fluke的好时候。
许多人问我怎么钓Fluke, 不想一一作答，就写这点东西吧。其实，钓Fluke要向韩国人
学，他们钓得很好。我的水平很一般，现在每年就钓个一两次，经验也有限。在这儿抛
块砖吧，但愿能引来点玉。
钓Fluke有两种情况，漂得慢和漂得快，钓法完全不一样。
一．漂得慢的时候：
1. 鱼竿： 7尺ML spinal rod , 4 – 10 lb test, action fast 。
这spinal rod好处是jig 相对轻松，但缺点是back bone短，对大点的鱼不易控制。我
试过一根cast的竿，$300+,加轮子，得500+了，犹豫好几年，还是没买。你就钓个一两
次，每次就留一条鱼吃点鱼生，好像有点奢侈。那套钓别的也不合适。
2. 轮子：2000, 3000 。
3. 线：20 lb braid联10尺20 lb fluorocarbon leader line。
Fluke是相对对线比较敏感的鱼，用fluo相对好一点。

2009年3月16日，脊柱裂协会举行脊柱裂研究及护理首届世界大会。会前的3月12日，
ACH医院在肖的指导下做了8例手术，其中包括唯一的一名10岁脊髓损伤患者Adam Byrum
。他是其中唯一的一例非“双盲”。
整整3年之后的今年3月12日，这名患者的结果公布了：“术后6个月有少许初步改善，
术后两年无临床改善”。继德国纽约大学的2例、Beaumont医院的2例、德国的8例脊髓
损伤肖氏手术临床试验全部失败后，这例失败无需惊讶。不过，值得注意的是，这是肖
氏手术术后进行探查的唯一一例：“肉眼观察发现吻合完整，未见电生理活动，神经未
从吻合处再生。”
术后探查发现虽然吻合完整，但神经却未再生，这对肖氏手术原理是致命一击。三家试
验方10余名脊髓损伤患者无一建立反射弧，已经有了神经解剖方面证明：异质神经不能
嫁接再生，肖氏弧原理错误。
