Exaggeration of food production created very skewed planning. The food
export were decided based on the production numbers given. So the export
was a direct result of over exaggeration of production.
Also, majority of starvation cases occurred in a few provinces, mainly those
who had a provincial official who used the exaggerated numbers as his
political capital. Maybe it's a coincident, but those few people were very

Most of the starvation cases happened in a few provinces: sichuan, Anhui,
Henan came to mind. Their commonality: major grain producing provinces,
grossly over exaggerated grain production figures, and the head of
provincial government that had very stubbornly adhered to their earlier
exaggerated claims.
I forgot if all of those provincial head were close to Liu and/or Deng, but

What they, the rational ones at least, deny is the figure of 30+ million
starved to death. Because that figure is completely fabricated with no
bases in reality.
They indeed use this as evidence to support the theory that Deng was just as
responsible, if not more responsible, for the starvation than Mao. |

As long as you don't use fake numbers, your position would be unassailable.

篇造假新闻称：“据1932年9月《幸福》杂志估计……仅纽约一地1931年一年中记录
在案的饿毙街头的案件就有20000余起”。本人翻遍整个1932年《Fortune》杂志9月刊
，却没有找到这个内容。
不过，本人在1939年出版的由“革命马克思主义者”主办的《新国际》杂志里面找到了
“在1931年，纽约市的医院记录里面有55人的死因一栏里面填写的是“营养不良”或“
饥饿””这样的说法。
本人在中文版《光荣与梦想》一书中看到了“1932年9月号的《财富》杂志……纽约市
福利委员会报告说：有29人饿死，另有110人死于营养不良，多数是儿童。”的描述（
“新浪读书”上的版本，下同）。
从这两个信源可知，在人口约700万的纽约市，（年）死于“营养不良”或“饥饿”的
人数为几十或百余人，这显示贵台造假新闻将这一信息夸大了200倍。用“失误”两字
是难以解释的。

那个时代别说中国女人，就是美国女人在政治里没有什么权利，是受歧视的。整个国会
参众两院女性议员凤毛麟角。
她的讲演不卑不亢，气势磅礴，正义凌然，震人发聩，赢得无数次参众两院全体起立鼓
掌。她的讲演对赢得美国对中国抗战的支援起到了很大的作用，你我没有变成日本的亡
国奴，她有一份功劳。
她的讲演稿子是自己写的，修改了很多遍，看成一篇时代范文。我敢说，很多在美国留
学多年的PHD也写不出来。
