有有nature一作的同学到一个普通AP实验室的,看情况了.
不过对于你提到的是哪种杂志,JBC, Structure,nat series,JACS,或者PNAS,
有经验的老板可能不大会关注这些,除非是篇nature/science.

己主办的杂志）。
Cell Press的杂志和Nature一样，也有2种，一种“嫡系”（自己主办）的，就像
Nature里面nc，nn，nm，ni，ncb，nsmb等等这种。另一种是“旁系”（代理出版）
的，比如Nature里面的中国人搞的aps，cell research等等。
Nature系列好判断，只要某杂志前面带Nature，人人都知道，这是Nature的主力“中央
军”（Nature自己主办），是Nature真正的子刊。
Cell里面“中央军”（cell自己办的杂志，可以说是Cell真正的子刊）按首刊时间顺序
有Cell，Neuron，Immunity，Molecular Cell，Developmental Cell，Cancer Cell，
Cell Metabolism，Cell Host & Microbe，Cell Stem Cell ，以及最新的Cell
Reports。
其他几种杂志，有些是Elsevier搞过来委托cell出版社出版的，

，对于<10kD的蛋白而言确实可以接近同源建模的水平，但对于大蛋白而言，大致还停
留在“理论”阶段，除非特殊情况，RMSD>10A可以算常态吧。此外，除了Baker本家之
外，其他外人能玩得转Rosseta的似乎屈指可数:)目前个人觉得Rosetta所适用的，除了
小蛋白结构预测/设计之外，应该算是structure refinement这块，部分结合实验结果
，能获得非常好的效果。
对于存在显著的已知同源结构的蛋白而言，我个人相信基于homology modelling的预测
方法仍然会是首选，可靠性很有保障。Homology modelling进一步结合Rosetta自然是
很好的思路，但前提是你能玩得转它，呵呵。 |

potential of each area in the industry job market, they are about equally
important (maybe wood structure is less popular). Actually, not too many

的文章也是关于这个方面的.
毕业后本人在美东工作了四年了,作一个普通的structural engineer,每天都是作一些
简单的不能在简单的计算,和死板的按照规范套.心里对这个没有技术含量的工作没兴趣
,虽然考了PE,但是我现在想想也不能这样混下去,是不是应该作一些自己真正感兴趣的
东西,不过也有几个顾虑:
(1)想去结构软件公司工作,不过自己的计算机语言已经有六年没有使用了,现在都三十
老几了,不知道能不能赶上.
(2)不知道在结构软件公司工作的待遇怎么样,比如computers & Structures Inc,是比
较大的一个软件公司,不过老板是印度人,不知道这个公司怎么样,毕竟自己也要养家糊
口,还要给女友买钻戒,压力很大啊.
(3)现在经济形势还是不乐观,不知道结构软件公司的找人状况怎么样?
恳请大家多多提供宝贵意见,谢谢... |

3. SE PhDs do find jobs in structural firms, usually at a level that require
only MS degree at most.

(or do not discourage) PhD applicants. Personally I do not know if this is
really the case or only a faked advertisement for someone's green card application.

Labor里面，可能搞得少一点，但是为大家所称颂的，大部分还是这一套吧？
Search model，应该算是可以归为structural的吧？
我的感觉反而是，前途一片光明，特别是随着计算技术的快速发展，进入成本应该会逐
步降低。
Judd曾经说过，现在直接支持structural的软件之所以没有出现，是因为市场不够大。
我觉得，慢慢地，会起来的。这是一个two-sided platform. |

先尝试reduced-form
老实说90%的情况，reduced-form能够得到和strucutral几乎一样的结论
用strucutral就是看起来fancy，炫技发文章，感觉比别人高一等
