机会：这样的机会很难得。以前有个女的到我们科临时加班做tech，中午吃饭就跟她聊
了，结果发现她是我们system里的research institute的research coordinator。她最
早以前是tech，后来熟人介绍她去做research coordinator。tech只是她额外的收入。
我跟她说了我的情况，我以前申请了几次，都在hr就被拒了或者说职位被取消了，后来
就放弃了。而且HR的申请上说必须有一年的research 经验，我每次都硬者头皮投，希
望我以前在国内的research经验能算上，但都失败告终。我给她留了我的名字，电话和
work email。她说如果有位置会替我操个心的，还要我email我的resume给她。回家后
想了想，这只是客套话，而且我不想把自己的resume发给一个几乎是素不相识的人。所
以我就没有发。

当她21岁的时候，州政府给的免费医保结束了，丫没钱看病了。
这时候丫的肝又出问题了。再不移植就要挂了。这时候，她听说，如果她通知移民局自
己是非法移民，那么州政府可以继续提供免费医保。于是她这么做了，然后州政府免费
医保得以恢复。现在她正在等待第四个肝（这女的比章含之还牛逼啊）......

synchronized fashion with the normal eye. But vision will not be restored.
There are corneal transplant, intraocular lens implant. The retina in the

醒了我一下说如果你自己小孩需要用，以后得买回来的。因为当时他也打算donate，结
果听说买回来的费用很高，就花钱存private bank了。
于是我就写了一封长信问public bank的负责人。我了解到的信息是：
1。收集和存储成功率是50%。不成功的扔掉或者用作research.
2。public bank不会给你confirmation或者record告诉你存储成功。
3。如果你的小孩病了，你要通知bank.
4. 存储成功的话，会无限期存下去。
5。如果你的小孩或者家人病了，或者其他任何人病了，要用这个cord blood，都需要

a caveat:
单基因造成的neurodegeneration已有成功，see the gene therapy for retinal
degeneration, published in NEJM 2008. 今年又添了新的手段eNPhR-AAV。这当然是
retina的优势，没有太多的神经环路,有light response估计就算成功。另去年的stem
cell/cell transplant在小鼠上也有成功（two case, one is retinal cell
transplant, one is RPE cell transplant.但这个在人估计操作极其困难，但相信他
们在优化。
至于曝光率很高的AD, PD, HD病理知识积累不够，系统又复杂。但给与时间，估计慢慢
会好。不取决于学术界一定胜过工业界。 |

. The risk for unrelated bone marrow donor is high, including death, chronic
graft vs host disease, severe immune supppression and risk of infection,
and secondary cancer. The risk is higher with unrelated donor. The Italians
did the most transplant using unrelated donor. Most center here is the US
will do transplant using matched siblings. Also, it is not a surgery. If
transplant failed, it is death. |
