I think it makes sense that grandpa did not bet on river, I wonder if I
missed value on the river, if so, how much should I bet (we both have like

发帖数: 15860 | 3 again, turn check raise is a very reliable pattern of slow played hands, as one pro wrote in cardplayer.
it's kind of wishful thinking that he would call your turn raise AND then bet again on river without a real monster. so your check won't get what you want. it's better to follow your turn action and bet out first.
he connects with flop and it's rare that he'd simply call on turn with a real monster, few low stake players are that sophisticated like this. it's pretty safe to get another $60 or so call from him on river.

blank and can not c any value of my river bet， instead i wanted to see his
hand. anyways, like 2 GURU said，i lost huge value。
to PHATDUDE, did you join our POKER NIGHT yet? 20NL home game is not that
small as you think, recently ppl getting more and more aggressive.... plus

I thought most likely he had a strong ace or worse 2 pairs, his turn bet/
calling banned the most possibility of sets and nuts back door flush draw.
That is the part of the reason that i can not c the value of the river.
but still i will check/call any on the river, coz i am a calling station, i
am not gonna fold top 2 pairs in this situation to live 1/2 grandpa, if he
shows all kinds of strange hands that beat me, then so be it. | g**s

on river to get the thin value, otherwise no one would give you action/
value on river without a monster after seeing such a strong line on turn. If
they do give your action on river, you are behind. So bet and fold on river.
I like following lines:
1. bet, bet ,bet. prepared to see sets. --Prefer this if people think I like
to bully
2. bet, check, bet.-- Prefer this if my flop c bet a lot.
3. check, bet, bet.-- Prefer this if people thinks I only c bet if I hits.
Grandpa bet on flop is questionable, I would check here as A5 is way ahead
or way behind situation. Better not to bet on flop. | d*****0
