Virus infection usually goes away in 7 days without treatment. This might be
bacteria infection.
My suggestion is to take the antibiotics and drink water as much as possible
.Antibiotics will kick in in 48hrs and you will see the progress 2 days
later.

你不愿给娃吃抗生素是对的。我们实验室有一个40岁的单亲母亲的研究生。每年都要得
个3-4次中耳炎（每次都跟她12岁的儿子同时得）。当然了，每次她的医生和他儿子的
医生都非常及时的给他们开抗生素，剂量越来越大，要越来越贵。最近已经非要Tier 3
的要不管用了。
我三岁半的女儿到现在为止得过5次中耳炎。第一次（7个月大），不吃药，打针退下去
了。没过多久（1岁），一次感冒后，又来了，打针。针药都是很广谱的抗生素。一岁
半的时候，同样的事情发生。两岁的时候又得了一次，因为我们告诉医生我们娃吃下口
服的阿莫西林后会吐出来，医生毫不犹豫的给开了号称是第三代的抗生素。说这个要得
味道好一些。拿药回来后，没敢给孩子吃。想的是现在就为了中耳炎天天吃第三代抗生
素，以后要是有点儿更严重的病，吃什么！更不想她以后像我们实验室的研究生那样每
年得数次。

ointment，结果膝盖上的疤永久留下了，估计是油性药膏，不透气，伤口不容易愈合。

最近这次，大概一个月前， 他先是鼻子不通，有些感冒的症状。我给他取了口服抗生
素，白色的。一天两次 吃了10天。 可是药一停，当天晚上他就耳朵疼。 带他去医院
，发现耳朵里面情况很严重。然后医生又开了另一种 Cefiximi 100mg 一天一次，有吃
了十天。 可是这次药一停又是耳朵疼，但是没有上次那么严重。 我们不敢掉以轻心，
立马又带他去医院，换了个儿医看的，当时说这次一边耳朵好的没有发炎，但是另一边
耳朵里面外耳有液体，然后开了个滴耳液，一天三次。
可用滴耳液后，早上醒来，发现他眼屎突然多了。当天送他去daycare回来后，发现眼
屎更多，而且右边眼睛红了。一晚过后（今天早上），眼睛都被耳屎糊住了的感觉。
我赶紧约了儿医，这次看的我们平时的儿童医生。她检查了宝宝的耳朵，然后说情况很
糟，上次见的那个儿医是误诊。还是以前的中耳炎。然后由于我们已经用过了所有的口
服antibiotic，只能给他antibiotic 的针了。要打三次。如果这个针没有效果。就只

treatment estimate.
4部分牙齿一共收60美元，加上洗完后上的药粉72美元，所以deep cleaning本身是132
美元，out of pocket. 可是有10颗牙说要注射local antibiot,1颗60共600刀，问吃口
服抗生素不可以吗，答no, 只能注射，可以discount 100刀，问这是必须的吗，答
optional,但是后果自负。有些不明白，记得几年前LDdeep cleaning也就自付了200刀
左右，保险一直没换过。不知大家是否用过这个注射的antibiot??
还有要补三颗牙，牙齿麻醉一颗70刀，这个也靠谱吗？谢谢。 |

Steve Mason教授是个喜欢做好人的人。印象比较深的是，有一次开组会，应该是什么
ethics training，大家说起了Sames和Sezen的事情（他们两就用真名了，也算是公众
人物了）。他说： Sames人很聪明，早年还为我说了几句话呢（他是指grants，
proposals之类的事情）。他出了事以后，我看到报纸报道，就赶紧给他发了email，说
听说你那里出了不少事情，good luck。Steve然后反问我们，你们觉得我做得对吗？说
罢环视左右，大家都没出声。
我自认在科研上天赋不高。Qualify过得有点丢脸。试来拭去的折腾了到了二年级末，

今天宝宝很想睡觉，下午4点就给宝宝烤了温度，发现UNDERARM 102， 马上给了
TYLENOL。 过了下温度降了下来到97.7， 8点测升到99， 9点测103，马上送到
EMERGENCY。 医生开始插尿管，抽血，上IV。可怜宝宝才2个多月，抽什么都不顺利，
每个都搞了10多次，宝宝哭得都没有声音了。转到医院后，尿测出来了，URINE
INFECTION， 还在等血检查结果， 如果不正常，还要抽脊柱液检查。明天ULTRASOUND
看器官正常不。
生娃的时候受了点苦，以为那就是很痛苦的事情了，其实，那才是个开始而已。接下来
还有那么都担心的事情。
医生一直说，我及时送EMERGENCY是非常正确的事情。希望所有宝宝们都健康，万一发
烧，也要及时送医院。
求大家祝福宝宝血检查正常，快点好起来。

过程有点像。
但是这个耳郭上的感觉和脸部的不一样。
时间要长一点。比如硬块bump超级疼，软化时间比较长，只能用antibiotic--医生用他
的什么镜看过，建议就是antibiotic。
主要是反复，为什么会出现也没有原因可循。反正苦恼，不能根治。

抽了两管血，让我回来喂antibiotics，最后结论是“不明”。270刀
肥肥原来吃喝拉撒都没问题。今天晚上开始发烧，连食物也只吃了两口。不会是对
steriod 或 antibiotics 反应吧？还是她有什么医生看不出的严重问题。。。
怎么我遇到的兽医都很有问题啊？我找的都是yelp和google最好的review的。之前那家
口碑和价钱都很高的医院，把小喵肾搞烂还要安乐死小喵的那位还是 Cornell 毕业的

discuss with your vet for treatment options
if your dog does not have any symptoms and you still decide to treat with
antibiotics, do a c6 test before starting drugs and then another c6 after
finishing antibiotics. if c6 shows improvements, then relax...if not, you
need higher dose or longer course...without c6 tests you have no idea if the

I'm sorry your pup got attacked. It sounds like the punctures have become
abscesses. Often they cannot heal without correct treatment.

right antibiotics. In your case, it sounds strange to me that your vet asks
you to continue using it even though it hasn't shown any effect after a week.
Somebody on this board had recommended a shampoo sold in Costco, but I
forgot the name. I also remembered someone used apple cider vinegar? You can
also search on Internet to find some other natural remedies, or antiseptic
sprays.

带小不点和小黑豆去做了两个手术，绝育和洗牙同时进行。效果非常满意！
我来简单讲讲经过吧
洗牙需要做全麻，所以先要做一个blood work，看是否liver可以process麻药，我的两
只狗都ok的。然后就是带狗回家，给了一瓶antibiotic，从手术之前的3天起，每12小
时喂1ml，一直要喂一个星期。手术前一天晚上10后和手术当天不能吃东西，只能喝少
许的水。第二天一早7点半就把狗drop off到clinic，4点半pick up。
洗牙之前两只狗一个4岁一个3岁。小不点的嘴那个臭！一打哈欠我都赶紧躲。。。吃什
么chew都不管用，全部都是打着幌子骗钱的小零食而已，又贵还又打乱diet让狗拉稀呕
吐。含有antiseptic的chew管用顶多暂时性的没那么臭，以前还用过foam状的mouth
rinse，也是只起nominal的暂时性去臭作用。还用过加在drinking water里的一种
