发帖数: 214 | 1 温哥华因为临近的关系，几年下来，每每食虫上脑，心向往之，便嚷嚷着带着架座，飞
驰而往。从最初Follow Travel Books 的程度，慢慢穿街入巷，自我流浪，开发总结，
到最后老饕的活动范围基本都固定在了市郊， 特别是City of Richmond和 City of
Burnaby两地。
Richmond是97香港移民的大本营。以余之所见，窃以为80%以上居民都是华人。走在大
街上，中文招牌比比皆是。Strip Mall的命名都是援用香港的地名，好像“新城市广场
“，“置地广场“等等。所有的“广场“之中，又以 Aberdeen, 时代坊，尤为出名。
Aberdeen 其实就是一个中型的indoor mall. 里面店铺林立，以中式为主，辅有日式，
韩式的门面，服装百货，琳琅满目。美食广场设在顶楼，有不少是连锁店的 express,
好像外母屋和味千拉面， 相信每一家若是移到西雅图了，那也是叫座叫好的。然而身
处中餐馆林立的Richmond, 便也不甚显眼了。值得一提的是美食广场中有一家 Beard

面是
ice cream，有绿茶，巧克力，芒果，荔枝等多种口味，一口咬下去是糯糯的，凉凉的
。。。。
吃了还想吃。。。。在oahu的一周天天都吃，哈哈， 他家的ice cream puff也非常好吃

吃环境的餐馆顾名思义，就是就餐环境极佳，菜的质量并不那么出色。这两家餐馆都在
豪华Hotel里，说环境好其实指Hotel的奢华环境让人印象深刻。
第一家要推荐的是le pavilion.
(833 Poydras Street, New Orleans, LA 70112) 。其实这是一家有107年历史的著名
HOTEL，即使不来吃饭也最好到此一游参观下高大上的门廊和豪华的lobby, 这个挂满水
晶宫灯的法式建筑仿佛把你带回古老的法国宫廷。如果能在这里住上几晚，可以尝试不
同的法式古典风格的房间，也未尝不是一次有意义的经历。这个酒店在与Canal街几乎
平行的Poydras 大街上，其实整个 New Orleans的高楼几乎都在Poydras这条街上，也
就是所说的CBD。另外这条街还有著名的Super Dome.。这个酒店和French Quarter隔着
个几个block,而这几个block的建筑外表华丽，装饰细致考究，气势非凡，似乎在无声

。。酒越被大众接受的越没特点，有特点的越不能被广大群体接受。。跟香水一样，滥
大街的好闻，但滥大街，niche香水，50ml，2-300块的，大部分人都不会觉得好闻。
我觉得underbelly这家店吧。。。有种“哥卖的不是菜 是寂寞”的感觉
他们之所以出名更主要是源自于厨师本人想要表达的一种情怀和concept，underbelly

活动上好多东西都是一次性的创作，吃过椒麻黑巧克力甜甜圈没
中国城开张停业转手易主什么的，是源源不断此起彼伏啊，竞争非常激烈，每个新店开
张都基本能赢得一时的spot light，中国人都喜欢一窝蜂的去试。但我家貌似不受多少
外界因素的影响，主要原因是客户群分布广，下雨修路治安新店开张不能说不受影响，
但只是很小一部分客源受影响。最近又刚得了houston chronicle 2014 top 100
restaurants的第15，houston press best of 2014的best chinese restaurant和best
wine list，underbelly的大厨，james beard award西南部得主chris shephard来我
们厨房学艺好在一个美国南部美食学术讨论会上得到启发，这个事件又上了报纸。。。
最近要搞的这个活动又会扩大知名度和客户群，我的脑子都用在怎样可以在保持水平的

老熊凉面和小熊凉面完全不一样的，小熊凉面是alison cook的最爱，她对这个菜的描
述是，“在我味蕾上绽放的难忘日出”，不愧是james beard award的food critique得
主，才写得出这么literary的东西。。。不过我姐，也姓熊，更喜欢老熊凉面。我两个

有个朋友在clipper 做兼职摄影师, 自从去年林疯狂后, 我就一直骚扰朋友,如果林书
豪来洛杉矶, 一定要给我票. 果然给了我前天比赛的票,再次感谢朋友.
1).前天的比赛, 很多的asian, 过后据朋友内部消息说, 这场比赛比平常的ticket
sale up 40%, and definitely see more Asian faces than usual, all just
because Jeremy Lin is coming. 希望以后laker 或者clipper 签jeremy lin .
2). annouce 林书豪首发的时候, 掌声很大, 我也高兴的大叫," yay, jeremy lin".
坐我旁边的黑哥们跟他的女朋友很友善的对我说,"jeremy is a good player. we are
happy for you." 乐的我给他们一个熊抱. 接下来howard 出场,全场都在boo, 包括黑
哥们, 哈哈.

随便聊聊,有些迟了，抱歉~~~
从姚明时代开始看NBA，实在是没办法，原本在国内主要业余时间都是看足球的，德甲
英超和意甲，来了加拿大，电视里完全是冰球的天下，好在老姚同志在火箭，比赛一般
也是夜晚时间，所以刚刚好。
小时候蹲在父亲工厂的篮球场看车间各队之间的比赛，父亲一般给吹个哨子，自己没事
中场休息就跑到场地里捡球来玩，端尿盆儿的技术练得还不错。中学课后活动基本上也
是篮球，瞎投篮，还有一种立定砸人的游戏来着，忘了名字。高中才开始班级比赛，我
们很强来着，我属于上场五个中最菜的。大学也打篮球，但很少，只是为了应付校运动
会，同系另一个专业有两个体力巨好的主儿，跑起来像狗，每次都把我们当猴子耍。我
班最好的是个广佬，运球跳投姿势很不错，另外粤语歌有陈百强的水准。我那时全部时

when casting spinner bait, should I let the spinner bait keep on bumping the
bottom or, just cast and retrieve, let it run through the water without
touching bottom. If it is the 2nd case, then how to control the depth,
depends on the weight of the bait itself? retrieving speed?
Also ppl suggest using this to cover the weed edge. Not sure if you do the
same?
