1) top tube length ~51 cm
2) seat tube range c-c ~49 cm (i.e., bike size)
3) standover clearance ~29 in
I can not find any cyclocross/touring bike met the 3 in bikedirect. i guess
have to move to road bikes, which have more choices of frames. also, i found
the park trail (buckeye) is called paved, one review:Path is mostly hard
packed crushed lime stone. I've seen road bikes on the trail (700c tires) so
a Mtn bike is not even needed. so |

Left turn? sounds like the same as my crash I mentioned before, mine was
steel at that time, the tube was fine, only the front tire was a bit crooked
, not sure the speed, probably around 20km/h, my bike hit directly to the
left door of the BMW. Two ligament of my left shoulder were broken, even I
could back bike soon, but I could feel my heart was beating faster than

吃饭时他提到他去台湾要开家店，主业是做bike fitting。他是Retül Certified
fitter。还没有仔细研究，但是好像很不错。他说Armstrong及今年的四支环法车队都
是Retül fit的。他们是唯一用的3D video camera的fitting系统。不过价钱也不菲，
$240。（Jekky买车那家店做BG Fit，$180一次，是Specialized公司的，Chris

If I were you, I will go to a local bike shop and tell them about the budget
. Then you can try a few different ones. Just pick up the most comfortable
one as I assume you will spend quite a long time on that bike. Also make
sure you get the size right and get a bike fit after you buy the bike. |

Bike Fitting Report
上周六去了一家本地的车店做tri bike的fit. 现在的fit是去年在PB做的，他们和tri
不太沾边，所以fit出来比较偏向road geometry. 这次找的车店叫Landis Cyclery,
1912年成立的，虽然不是tri store，但是tri bike以及装备占了货架上很大份额。他
们有个tri club在本地很有名气，每次比赛他们也都积极赞助，所以应该挺靠谱。
周六是他们的老板Sam Landis亲自给我做fit. 过程不长，不到1小时就做完了。山姆大
叔把我的车子放在trainer上，然后通过调整车座高低和前后位置，车把的高低，以及
休息把的位置，让我的姿势达到这几个要求：
1. 脚踩到6点钟位置时膝盖角度是145度。这个角度影响力量输出，效率，避免伤痛等等

壮。话说现在重新开始commute，公车自行车组合。发现现在洛杉矶很多路段都开始划
出了bike lane，虽然只有窄窄的一小条，但是只要有这个东西骑着就理直气壮多了，
自然汽车对你也更respect了，很爽
听收音机也经常听到LA近些年推动bike lane，现在看到成效了。现在好像有一个
slogan叫everyday is a bike day |

即使不带移动电源，我的手机撑6个小时应该问题不大
GPS轨迹是个很耗电的功能。如果一直实时开着的话，bike computer的续航恐怕不会比
手机更好？我的微软Band2手环，如果开了GPS实时记录，2小时就没电了；如果GPS 10秒
一记录，理论上倒是可以撑一白天。bike computer不外挂电源的话，我想续航不会比手
环高一个数量级。
所以我个人觉得，手机App相对于bike computer还是有一点优势的。
手机App的优势：GPS常开的时候续航更给力，大多免费
bike computer的优势：防水，对车轮转速的计量比GPS更准确
腕带和手表的优势：防水，计量心率的时候不需要带心率带
综上：
如果希望准确实时记录GPS轨迹，手机加移动电源的方案是不错的
计量心率的话，手环准确度不如心率带但是更舒服
只需要超长续航和速度距离计量，当然bike computer是最好的 |

什么花样，上了一次才知道那么多变化...刚上完只觉着腿软，睡完一觉就疼得不行了
，到今天已经过了三天了，还是什么姿势呆着都疼。站着，坐着，躺着大腿都很疼。学
习也学不下去。
记得老师说上完biking要多做拉伸，可我没怎么做。会不会肌肉结块了...
谁给我指点下以后该怎么办。本人身高161cm,体重大约52kg.大腿相对上身胖。

I once bought a ti mtb, and I thought it would be my last mtb. No, I bought
two more after that ...
Here's the rule:
Rule #12
The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
While the minimum number of bikes one should own is three, the correct
number is n+1, where n is the number of bikes currently owned. This
equation may also be re-written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned
that would result in separation from your partner. |

tidy up and take care of my bike.
Set up the bike trainer and mounted the bike. Tried to ride on it. It feels
so different from the upright position on a hybrid bike. It is very
convenient to have a bike trainer at home during winter. I can ride whenever
I feel like to, eventhough it is normally dark between 16:00 and 07:40...

因为当时拿车时比较匆忙，还没有做bike fitting，我会先听大家的，把座位降低1-
2cm，再适应几周，然后拿着我的clipless pedal去店里安装，顺便bike fitting。
挡泥板是需要的吧，一年中下至少半年雨的地方。。。这种挡泥板是road bike专用的，很轻很细。
不过当时帮我装挡泥板的大叔很鄙视地对我说，你夏天总要把它卸下来的吧，blahblahblah...看
来我还是不够hardcore...
我不高呀，只有165cm。难道是因为车买小了，显得人高？呜呜。
身上的行头，除了bike shorts之外，都是跑步用的。Vest是因为赘肉太多了，用来遮
一下。看来要加大运动量，外加控制饮食了。否则，等到穿trisuit（已经买了）的时
候，腰间巨大一救生圈，就悲剧了。。。
工具包呀，bike jersey呀，风扇呀，咱是穷人，慢慢攒钱买哈。=)
我别的东西不多，就是书太多了，还不舍得扔（照片中显示的只是一部分）。。。所以
上次搬家（一年前）华丽丽地搬了12箱书，到现在还有三箱没有unpacking，另外又进

If you are, then you know what a smoking deal this is. Fully loaded,

借这个事给开车的同学们提个醒: West Cary因为房市上扬，车流也增加了，而West
Cary也是骑车人常常出没的地方，所以在路上开车遇到自行车，要千万注意。这里面常
出现的一个情景是在单车道的情况下，在对面有来车时，或是在弯道时，或是在坡底向
上时，汽车强行超越自行车- 一不留神就会出危险。正确的做法是跟在后面，确认对面
没有来车后安全地超过它。

expensive bike. Let's say someone can bike 100 miles in 5 or 6 hours on
a $300 road bike that weighs 22 lb (say flat, no wind). What would be
the difference if he
rides 100 miles on a $1000 bike instead? How much time could he shave
off, with the same effort (if possible to estimate at all)? |

300 bike. Not only the weight. The accuracy and efficiency of power train.
How well the bike fits you. Assume you have enough power, if the the handle
bar and the saddle are not that comfortable, it will be very painful or
impossible to ride 100 miles. Not saying nobody have done a century ride on
a walmart bike, but it just could've been much easier and more comfortable
if you have a nicer bike.

value) feels pretty good.:) It's a little heavier than my former $100 second
hand road bike, but it feels super
smooth and fast -- probably because I never had a real good bike. I will
take a ride with my GPS after getting
my bike out of the bikeshop Tuesday (it needs a full body tune-up).

distance biking is 90-110 rpm. With a single gear bike, there is no way you
could maintain that cadence when you climb a hill. If you force your way
through 100 miles, you can hurt your knees seriously. There is a world's
difference between the crappy mountain bikes you bought in china and a real
road bike. Changing gears is no pain at all, and absolutely necessary for
good performance. |

发帖数: 4931 | 45 after a 6.8 mile run this morning, I went to the bike shop and picked up my
bike. then I went on the bike trail for a 24 mile ride. soon I realized that
the "bike trail" is mostly for the recreation of families and runners, not
real cyclists. I was able to cruise comfortably at 18mph, was able to
sustain 20mph and went up to 23mph (obviously couldn't last for too long).
But I had to make stops at crosswalks frequently, stopping my garmin 305. In
the end I averaged 17.76mph.

，但骑起来胆战心惊或者上下车不利落，那就另当别论。
另外bike fit对road bike很总要，最好去一家愿意提供最起码的bike fit的车店。在

more.... While I am being trapped in this stupid neck collar and grounded
from any physical activities, I've been thinking what to get for the bike.
I haven't seen the damage on the bike yet -- it's still at my teammate's
house. Assuming the frame is still OK, the next thing I will upgrade are
the wheels. Already ordered a set of Reynolds Assault aero wheels.

bike shop：
clark上面的cycle smithy，非常非常的专业，产品线也是拉的很长，从低到高。价格
也是local店里比较合适的。
halsted上面的performance bike，服务无比之好，sales个别不是很懂。价格打折无比
便宜，不打折比较高。可以要求match网上的价格。
2手车：lake front有很多bike shop现在在卖2手车，199起，价格还算可以吧。至少是
tune up过的，比craiglist上面的稳定性要好很多。
还有bikedirect这个网站。我就是那里买的，随便看了一下你们的租车网站，配置还没
我的高，50刀一天，租个一周都可以买个新的了。 |
