likely to withstand races.
A bike undergoes a lot more stress in racing conditions that can cause
fatigue to the material which normally would not occur during training/
casual rides, regardless of the bike's mileage.
For example, sudden acceleration, all-out sprints, and hard, hooked
cornering. |

I did it with a co-worker who lives 15 miles away from me. Went to his place
and biked together. Hit two energizer stations at the end, and had 3 boiled
eggs. Felt good.

went off. It was still dark outside. My body was so reluctant to get up. But
I know I have to. Otherwise, I am sure I would regret it later when I sit
in the traffic.
At 6:15 I was out on my bike with flashing lights back and front. There was
a slight hint of red color beyond the east horizon. 30 minutes later I can
see the rising sun when I crossed the first town line. It's such a beautiful

火车月票 $192
或者 公共汽车+地铁 $115 + $126 = $241
或者 开车+地铁 $5地铁站停车费 x 20 + $126 = $226
或者 开车到downtown $15 x 20 = $300
而我的首选是骑车上班 $30 gym membership （洗澡用）+ $5 flat tire + $45 4天下
雨或特殊原因需要坐火车上班 + $50 一年的maintainance。只是加拿大的冬天不太
bike-friendly，所以只能从3月或4月骑到10月或11月。就这样算下来能骑车的这几个
月每月能省大约$100到$150。一年下来能省$700到$1000。
当然自行车也是要成本的，我的第一辆commuter bike是我的旧road bike，用来上下班
时已经骑了6年了。后来车架被我trash了，换了个steel frame和一些别的配件共花了$
700，就算是我commuter bike的总投入吧。但是一个季度也就省回来了。

was my base of the assumption that you have to amortize the initial cost of
the bike but not the car.
On per mile basis, the cost of maintaining a car (economic ones of course)
is surprisingly cheap. E.g., for the first 50k miles of a dfbb, your cost is
basically oil changes every 5k miles. That's only $500 for 50k miles.
Maintaining a bike even for 10k miles will take a lot more --- tires, breaks

一开始骑车就碰到一个大上坡，之后的下坡感觉很爽貌似彪得太快了。
速度达到了30.1mph，心率也彪到177bpm，每次比赛都控制不住自己。。。

如果路口较少<１０个／20mile，风阻小，加上你的底子，２０mile／h在trail上没问题
年龄就更不是问题了，路上的老头凡是穿bike jersey＋road bike/commute bike的９
０％都比我快.哈哈。我现在都是１小时１０分钟/２０mile,大约２０个路口，local
3mile.

downtown原本就很多人骑，不过我当年骑和那些bikers一样都是靠胆大骑。现在好多路

santa monica也很多人骑车，也不少bike lane
culver city也不少bike lane
pasadena等地一直就比较bike friendly
总之让我骑在解放区就觉得比较头痛，主要是比较拥挤

so that is my road bike expedition. hate the break. i need that instant
maximal stopping power for those unforeseen car/bike/people/squirrel/pothole
/road crack/fallen branch. Monday's commute gonna be 25 miles.
zhanglaosan: the guy who bought my D7 also has a P8. he honestly told me he
felt no difference in terms of ride and performance, but he could felt the
added weight when walking the bike. |

系统设计有一个漏洞：停放车的架子(前轮上面)控制板上有个指头大小的扳手图标按钮

吃饭时他提到他去台湾要开家店，主业是做bike fitting。他是Retül Certified
fitter。还没有仔细研究，但是好像很不错。他说Armstrong及今年的四支环法车队都
是Retül fit的。他们是唯一用的3D video camera的fitting系统。不过价钱也不菲，
$240。（Jekky买车那家店做BG Fit，$180一次，是Specialized公司的，Chris
McCormack是用BG Fit的，当然因为Specialized赞助的他tri bike。）

Commute并且想向tri发展，一些entry level的road bike就可以,为了舒适性，可以把
23的胎换成25的。
全程骑吧，13mile多好的距离，每天的训练量有保证了，如果加班比较累的话，可以考
虑用骑车加rail。full size的车，如果上下班高峰期我们这里好多火车是不让上的，一般大
家用folding bike。
我搬家以前都是在限速50mile的公路上和汽车并行。配好front and rear light，穿
high-viz vest，戴好头盔，并且遵守交通规则，安全应该还是有保障的。原则是be
seen by car drivers。
这个问题呼唤铁哥，他一直都是长途bike commute的，绝对有发言权。

上周六去了一家本地的车店做tri bike的fit. 现在的fit是去年在PB做的，他们和tri
不太沾边，所以fit出来比较偏向road geometry. 这次找的车店叫Landis Cyclery,
1912年成立的，虽然不是tri store，但是tri bike以及装备占了货架上很大份额。他
们有个tri club在本地很有名气，每次比赛他们也都积极赞助，所以应该挺靠谱。
周六是他们的老板Sam Landis亲自给我做fit. 过程不长，不到1小时就做完了。山姆大
叔把我的车子放在trainer上，然后通过调整车座高低和前后位置，车把的高低，以及
休息把的位置，让我的姿势达到这几个要求：
1. 脚踩到6点钟位置时膝盖角度是145度。这个角度影响力量输出，效率，避免伤痛等等
2. 大腿和身体的角度（忘了是多少了），这个角度影响骑行的舒适程度，太小的话呼
吸会不顺畅
3. 上半身要尽量水平，这个关系到风阻大小
4. 上半身和上臂，以及上臂和前臂的角度尽量接近９０度，这个保证手臂对上身的有
效支撑。

感觉我连20mph都骑不到，一周也骑不了个2，3次，好像根本没有必要升级。我现在骑
一个trek 1500。
如果只能有一辆车，感觉一定要是road bike，因为我经常group ride。。
如果同时有一辆road bike加一辆tri bike更是汗颜啊。。。感觉好奢侈啊。。
其实我觉得先自己骑到20+mph再考虑tri bike还靠点谱，我可不想成那种全套aero被山
地车超的家伙。。。哈哈
大家有啥建议不？谢啦先！
