大家好，
我已经搜集了一些证据，准备控告CPEES的歧视性政策，在网上发文，希望已经参加过
评估的同学能给我提供更多的信息。
事情经过如下，
本人清华本科，后来美国留学，想参加FE，Board需要来自CPEES的大学教育评估报告。
CPEES可能是唯一一家官方指定机构（据我目前了解），有点垄断的意味。而且CPEES和
NCEES似乎有些联系，更让我对他们的工作表示质疑。刚开始觉得申请费很高，$375,后
来发现，他们所要的三种材料，我很难提供。
Transcripts Request Form,
Course Description,
Original Degree Verification.
以给清华大学官方机构打过电话，确认校方不会以清华大学的名义填写任何表格，更不
会提供官方的中英文课程描述。CPEES里有个“会讲中文”的人，告诉我系里的公章也

发帖数: 3433 | 2 是否需要evaluation其实应该从两方面看：家长更容易忽视小孩的问题，觉得可能是内
向，或者被老一代宠的，而evaluator在不同环境下的evaluation可能也很不一样。比
如我家娃单独在一个房间evaluate的结果和在preschool evaluate的结果完全不一样。
单独在一个房间evaluate没有任何问题，到preschool的evaluate发现一堆问题，最主
要的问题是在preschool1个小时没有和任何小孩有任何交流。在我们做家长的眼中，单
独房间的evaluation忽视了问题，preschool的evaluation又夸大了问题。所以对high
functioning autism误诊不少（低功的误诊少很多）。
小娃evaluate后几个月就上K了，有one-on-one aid，老师纪律特别严，每天我都害怕
看老师的comments,因为几乎每天都有写孩子不专心，要催很多遍才做作业，走路时有
时哼哼，吃饭时有一次试图从桌子底下钻过什么的。虽然是SPECIAL ED，老师对他要求

第二条，说我的 advance degree 证明不够。
好像并不仅是翻译公证一下学位那么简单。
信上说如果我是在美国之外受教育，那么出了提供 official academic record 之外，
还要
submit a detailed advisory evaluation of the beneficiary's credentials.

我们学校不承认任何机构的evaluation,全部要求校内各系自己evaluate.也就是说要和
各个系单独联系，按照各个系的特定要求来evaluate.
别的学校我就不知道了。但是大概International transcript都是要evaluate的。
你最好搞清楚你要申请的几个学校是怎么要求的。承认那家机构的evaluation.免得到
时候现弄来不及。 |

个section活跃. 最后那个沉闷的section给的evaluation比哪个活跃的section低很多.
我的graduate course evaluation比较平稳, undergrad的起伏大一点, 同样的东西,
有的学期undergrad很感兴趣,evaluation几乎全给高分, 有的学期undergrad不那么感
兴趣,有2,3个给低分的. 所以我现在已经不纠结这个evaluation了.

因为以前phd和postdoc期间的guest lectures都反应不错，postdoc期间独立上的一门
课虽然只有八个学生，但是反应也很好。我平时的学术报告反应一般也是很好的，还得
过奖，所以我一直自信满满。但是看到上学期的course evaluation真的严重打击了我
的自信心，平均分在系平均分和校平均分以下，有些学生的negative reviews都有一些
人身攻击了。但是有一个学生的评语让我很感动，他/她写了很长的一段，开始写了对
我的教学很positive的评语，然后写到：

完全不听老师讲课，颜色数字都说不清楚。心里很难受。上来问问大家怎么办。
1）孩子的基本情况是，现在3岁1个月，去幼儿园6个月了。孩子平时在家里说中文。
2）社交方面，有两三个要好的中国小朋友，平时愿意去找他们玩，不过也没什么语言
交流，就是嬉戏哈哈，打打闹闹，跑来跑去的乱叫。会对自己喜欢的小朋友特别好，愿
意分享，但是不熟悉的小朋友就比较疏远。遇到陌生人会打招呼，招手说hello，不怕
生。喜欢去bouncing castle之类的地方，或者划船逛公园去农场看动物骑马之类的活
动。平时比较活泼淘气，错了的话会自己说犯错了，惹爸爸妈妈生气了，以后注意之类。
3）行为方面，比较倔强，总是很坚持自己的想法，很固执。如果没有满足，比如去
lego店，如果要走的话，会花费很多口舌去劝他走。但是不太喜欢哭，除非是很难过的
时候，比如大声批评他了。喜欢睡觉前将故事。
4）交流方面，这个是我们最担心的，很多时候在家里，和他说话根本不理我们，自己

申请教师执照被告知需要CREDENTIAL EVALUATION 其实以前申请学校的时候已经做过一

内成绩原件的复印件要直接从国内相关的教育部门寄到这里 可是我以前是把从国内带
来的盖章复印件直接从我这里寄过去的 他们也收了也都EVALUATE了 请问前辈当初是怎
么做的 是直接寄自己带来的还是要国内的寄呢？
2。申请教师资格需要EVALUATE 本科以前的成绩吗（中学 小学）？在网上填
EVALUATION申请表时要求填从PRIMARY SCHOOL 到目前的教育经历 请问这些小学到中学
这部分需要填吗？

看了都心情很糟糕一段时间。我现在都不看comments和evaluation，除非不得已，比如
说要整理evaluation申请tenure。我以前的advisor说，真正想得到里帮助的学生，在
平时就会告诉你他们的需要，比如说加些例子什么的。到最后teaching evaluation 来
说你不好的，有一定程度是在发泄。
本科生教学和研究生教学差异还是很大的。了解本科生的特征调整教学方法会有一定效

作过好几年Solo的TA（就是讲课、布置作业、出考试卷子全包），学生的评价都不错，
我LD的evaluation都是4/5以上，我稍差一些，但也没有下过3.6/5。后来我们两个分别
到了中部大农村的两个学校，结果怎样呢？我LD第一学期的evaluation全系最低，
ratemyprofessor上的评价全是 1 1 1。我第一个quarter的学生评价也是一塌糊涂，大
量的人抱怨“It was hard to understand him”。还有人写
VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND! WHY IS ×× UNIVERSITY HIRING PROFESSORS THAT
SPEAK POOR ENGLISH?
没错，都是大写字母。问题在于，为什么我们以前的学生没有这种抱怨呢？我们也问过
我们的同门，他们也有类似的问题。所以楼主你不必沮丧，从我的经验看，学生的
evaluation取决于下面几个因素：
1。你的学校是研究型的还是teaching school。

do evaluation for your foreign BS/BA, just use the US degree. If the

发帖数: 3433 | 31 是啊。我娃那个年级，上K的时候就1个asperger, 一个ADHD，K到中间2个autism(
including asperger), 2ADHD. K毕业后成了3个autism, 2个ADHD，新增加的都是上K后
要么老师推荐EVALUATE，要么家长自己去EVALUATE，全都安排了one-on-one or shared
aid。还增加了好几个需要SPEECH THERAPY的。
要不要做EVALUATION看学区，如果小孩EVALUATE有自闭，哪怕轻微自闭，有的学区（比
如加州学区）要求上专门的SPECIAL ED班，这样对小孩不好。我这轻微的上REGULAR班
，重的才上专门SPECIAL ED班。 |

了半年查了很多自闭资料后才决定做evaluation的，而且我问了special ed的人，说每
年都要evaluate一次，有可能大了就不再诊断自闭了，才决定。楼主的情况做speech
evaluation我还是建议的，其他的可以先研究一下自闭和ADHD症状再做决定（那些症状
都很specific，所以判断是否要做evaluation不难）。 |

1/如果对evaluate的结果不满意，可以不把这个结果送到board那里去，而再找一家重

state，到时结果出来了你没有选择送还是不送的权利？

3/这些机构评估的只是修了多少血分和课名翻译是否正确，而那些可算作accounting,
business，还是要board来判断，是吗？

150个学分,单凭我在美国修的的学分我就不够,所以就必须EVALUATE我在中国修的课,但
并没有EVALUATE我的毕业证,后来我收到的EVALUATE通知的确提到我中国的学分扎足以
等同美国的BACHLOR.我也拿了美国的MASTER,最近要到加州,看到他们的PATHWAY 1并没
有要求150学分,专门问了一下,他们回答是,我有了美国的MASTER,学位上的要求就已经
达到了,只要我美国修的学分能够达到24商业学分加上24个会计学分,就可以参加考试.
我觉得你应该看一下你那个州的要求,有不明白的地方,直接问他们.

. I was told that they don't care about my Master's or PhD degree. They only
evaluate my Chinese Bachelor's degree. I was so scared that I just gave up.
The CPEES evaluation is ridiculous.
In my opinion, NCEES should change the evaluation rule as follows:
If somebody has an advanced degree (Master's or PhD or both) from an US ABET
university, the evaluation of his/her foreign Bachelor's degree should be

a. let the students complain here so they would not too upset when they do
the formal evaluation;
b. you can know what you need to improve in the 2nd half semester
c. if you make changes per informal evaluation, make this very clear that
you consider the students' suggestions - for example, give more extra credit
activity;
d. in your own annual report, this is an evidence for your working on
improving your teaching. |

有学生全给1分很正常，我感觉学生里至少有25%左右不把teaching evaluation当回事
，这些人不喜欢你就全给3分或1分，觉得你还可以就全给5分，根本不会认真填答。
所以看到全给1分的也不要觉得委屈，我自己看到很多全给5分的teaching evaluations
，说实话觉得自己不deserve。 |

上个月做了annual review，前两天chair给我看了他的信，找我谈了谈，据说是tenure
track上的必经程序。
我的research和其他方面都是exceptional，但就是student teaching evaluation
below average。
NND,现在只有第一个学期的evaluation，我还觉得八错了, 3.77。可chair说系里的平
均是4.2,很多老师都是5,满分呢！
真的吗？大家的evaluation都有那么高吗？ |

发帖数: 1020 | 47 作为当年的小留，非常同意楼上。考试要尽量出的直白，我的方法是每次考试都会出一
题直接照抄作业题目(不用担心curve,依然会有不少人做错)，然后evaluation都会说考
试很fair，lol。
课件/作业/给分都要透明，我每次考试之后都会公布curve以及最高/最低分（最低分不
公布名字），学生反响不错。
midterm evaluation很有用，一方面收集一点反馈，另一方面让学生感觉你在努力提高
，这些在最后的evaluation中学生都有提及 |

发帖数: 2790 | 48 呵呵，我以前大学时一门基础课是一个方言口音极重的牛逼教授教的，重到我有50%都
完全听不懂他在说啥，只能靠他的板书硬猜，不过他的讲义水平极高，我到现在教那门
课都在follow他的思路。那时候没有teaching evaluation，有的话我估计也不会打太
高的分，写评语的话我肯定会把口音写进去。

手了很多，但我还是花了很多心血改slides，课堂上基本是盯着每个人问问题。结果刚
才瞅了一眼teaching evaluation，虽然分数还没出来，但是只有6个人交了teacher
evaluation，8个人交了course evaluation。觉得自己费半天劲有人压根不感激啊，心
凉的不行，直接找了个理由发信把最后一次office hour取消了。 |
