人類胚胎幹細胞，過去主要有三種途徑：第一是從墮胎下的胎體取得， 第二種是IVF剩
餘胚胎取得，第三種是體細胞核轉植（somatic cell nuclear transfer) 克隆, 復制
人胚胎，由此取得胚胎幹細胞。這3種方式因為牽涉到醫學倫理問題和宗教問題，一直
未能在西方大規模發展。北美歐洲有幹细胞研究方面的法律規定，限制此類funding.
第四種，美國的advanced cell technology公司2006年在Nature發表的無需破壞和影響
人類胚胎發育而取得胚胎幹細胞的方法--單胚芽細胞技術(single-blastmere

幹细胞/造血幹细胞移植，在各國都可以進行。我自己也是骨髓造血幹细胞捐獻者，這
個不但法律不禁止，而是是社會鼓勵的。在這方面，中華骨髓庫（也就是中國的造血幹
细胞骨髓庫）的捐獻者，遠遠少於西方，從人口比例上講，非常低。 除非配型成功，
不會有人千裡迢迢去中國做骨髓移植。
其次，骨髓造血幹细胞移植，針對的是血液疾病，例如血癌。而胚胎幹细胞，是萬能幹
细胞，可以用於很多疾病的治療，分化成220多種人體細胞形態。我親戚的病和血液完
全無關，就算幫他換了一身骨髓幹细胞也完全於事無補。如果換骨髓有用，美國那麼多
Parkinsons,Alzheime等病的患者，早就排隊換骨髓了。
再次，和骨髓的造血幹细胞不相同，胚胎幹细胞取的是未完成分化的幹细胞，它對配型
的要求遠低於造血幹细胞。醫學界最初完成的動物胚胎幹细胞移植，就是用老鼠的胚胎
幹细胞移植到貓身上，令到癱瘓的貓咪部分恢復肢體功能。無論傳統的胚胎幹细胞移植

1。 突然频繁喝水，经常围着水碗转，这个要注意，因为猫一般是不喝很多水的，多喝
水是身体自然反映，当肾脏功能减弱后，要多喝水才可以保证把体内代谢废物排出
2。 grooming减少，因为肾衰竭引起脱水，所以grooming不行了
3。 排尿增多，尿量明显加大，以前一个星期用一盒猫沙，现在都不够了，这个需要注意
4。 食欲减退，吃的少了，或者只看不吃，因为体内代谢废物排不出去，引起恶心的反应
5。 体重下降，尤其是后腿肌肉明显变少，是因为肾脏衰竭引起蛋白代谢异常，身体消
耗肌肉的反映
6。 无故呕吐，无毛球（因为grooming少了，所以没有毛球）
7。 体力下降，原本可以轻松跳上床，现在很费劲，经常一下跳不上来。
8。 睡觉时候肌肉打颤，类似parkinsons症状 |

美国政府在布什时代对胚胎干细胞的研究限制甚严，不允许联邦资金用于
