Finger print check expires every 15 months. USCIS can request a second

你们谁碰到过这个error message,
the requested operation requires fingerprint authentication,
but have no fingerprints enrolled. Please enroll fingerprints and
retry the operation.
以前碰到这个问题，关机启动就好了。但是今天怎么整这个问题还是在。
fingerprint都是有的，以前使用的时候也没有任何问题。
还是能log into windows， 但是那个private disk就看不到了。
给Lenovo customer service打了电话，果然名不虚传的差。

的fingerprint可能会有推迟。而且fingerprint的通知将只会等到期日的前42天内寄出。
2，如果是245(i) 的申请被退回，申请人若是因为移民局有错，可将245(i) 再次寄回移
民局，而且上面必须注明“REQUEST SUPERVISORY REVIEW PRIOR TO REJECTING” 字样。
3，如果劳工卡上注明“BA or Equivalent Degree” ，申请若有Master
Degree，即便BA是不同的专业，移民局也不能因此否决该I-140。
4，对於H-1B第七年的申请是必须在到期的六个月提出，移民局的批准将第七年一整年的
时间加上原本的剩余时间放在一齐。也就是若是在到期前的5个月申请，批准日期将为17
个月。在以前都是只到一年，然后到期是再提出剩下5个月的申请。
5，对於医护工作人员的Transfer, extension, 或是进入美国，如果该申请人没有拿到所
要的certificate的话，将不会被批准。例如Physical The |

。 本来以为取签证是没有太大问题的事情，居然也好一番波折，写出来给大家提个醒
。
现在的签证必须本人再去一趟取，好像不能邮寄。 取签证是周一到周四早上8点到10点
，不需要预约。 周一早上去到领事馆，VO又interview了一下，在计算机上check了好
久infomation，但是没有问我任何问题，告诉我visa 已经approve了，让我按照DHL收
据上的号码去查询等着。 走出领事馆，15分钟以后被电话call 回去，说VO忘了给我打
fingerprint。 赶紧跑回去，打了fingerprint后出来，大概是中午12点。 在领事馆对
面的starbucks 等，下午3点，领事馆又把我call 回去，说系统出了问题，
fingerprint要重新take，我又跑回去，打完指纹出来的时候快4点。领事馆的VO说很抱
歉，两次把你喊回来，我们会尽快处理你的visa。 第二天在旅馆里面等着一整天，也
没有等到，只好又多住一晚上。一直到第三天的上午，还是没有等到签证，觉得很着急

when I went to get fingerprint, i remember I have 3 fingers that did not
meet the requirement. However I did not receive any letter from cis to redo
it. I call the number to check the fingerprint status. The lady told me i
was not required to do it again.

漫談 I-485 的處理程序(二)
同學們理解了排期之後，我們現在就可以排著隊去 USCIS 參觀參觀。看看 I-485 是怎
樣一個處理過程。
我們要去的這個中心即是赫赫有名，又臭名昭著的 Nebraska Service Center (NSC).
NSC, 又稱 Lincole 中心，位于地瘠民貧的 Nebraska. 由于該中心的辦公樓毗鄰繁忙
的鐵路樞紐（Amtrak 火車站僅在數百米之內），南來北往的火車噪音造成了該中心的
日益低下的效率。據 Michael Chertoff 的密友稱，USCIS 已有意將該中心挪至人煙稀
少的 Alaska，以期加速其工作進度。這是後話，暫且不提。
在這里，我們有幸地遇見了 F Gerard Heinauer 主任。同學們也許沒見過他，但名字
應該听說過吧，如雷貫耳。寄申請要了回執的同學，那後面就會是蓋的他的戳兒呀。還
有，上個月有人告移民局，此公代表 NSC 便名列其上。

加上律师事务所放假，所以485直到今年年初才递交上去。貌似一切都还比较顺利，希
望485早点拿到。:-)

的case已经approved了。哈哈。
顺便打车问个问题。
我的baby就要出生了，预产期是5月20号左右。我看现在TSC的很多485两个多月就批下
来了。
我不想孩子失去中国国籍，又想早一点提交485。请问有没有什么办法可以控制485的过
程，现在提交，让绿卡在孩子出生之后批准？可不可以通过推迟fingerprint的方法？
比如，如果收到fingerprint的通知，我就推迟，知道孩子出生，再去打fingerprint，
然后再等一个月，拿到绿卡？

已经寄出，5/6号收到797收据，原本以为会在797里收到fingerprint的时间表，但是在

，刷了状态，显示“card production”，表示绿卡申请可以告一段落了。

这里我要说一下我的fingerprint
对于fingerprint来说手当然是最重要的，而我的手是汗手，大汗手，大汗淋漓之手。
什么意思呢？就是手一直出汗，用纸巾猛擦之后，不到一秒就可以看见汗呈水珠状从手
上冒出-_-!! 更糟糕的是第一次去打fingerprint的时候还蜕皮....不用说当然是悲剧
了。根据版上的推荐，听说有一种corn huskers lotion挺养手，于是当天下午我就去
弄了瓶，有事没事就往死里涂，涂很厚一层的那种。终于，十天左右的时间，指纹变得

fingerprint notice信寄出，所以也就真的不再给我寄了。以致于我从来都没有收到过

fingerprint notice。任何一个ASC，每天的最后一个小时是不安排预约的，目的是一
旦前面时间的预约有拖延，这一个小时可以用来把前面的处理完。所以，walk-in 的最
包靠时间就是最后一个小时去做。带上receipt number notice 那封信，做的时候就是
扫这信上的barcode.随便说一下我已经绿了并且上星期收到绿卡了。祝大家也尽快绿 |

今天下午收到email：
On December 17, 2014, we registered your permanent resident status and
mailed you a Welcome Notice for Receipt Number LIN1490XXXXXX. Please follow
the instructions in the notice. Your new permanent resident card should
arrive by February 15, 2015, after this registration or after you complete
any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.
If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing

把这天的结果大致统计了一下：
SRC 8/12这天一个399个485 RD.
12月17日，一共批了123个了
到15年2月14日，一共批了180个。
大致是平均一天一个。
现在还有129个485是“fingerprint fee received” 的状态，如果TSC不加快速度，最
坏可能是要四个月才能批完。希望他们到后面越批越快啊。
8/15/14 RD也统计了一下，批的速度要看起来要慢一些。

和版上另一个朋友的timeline 几乎完全一样，他/她我记得是7-10左右received，
fingerprint 比我早了一个月，485同样是在fingerprint 后大约50天得样子被批准的。
