想咨询一下大家关于RFE的事情 我在做H1b transfer 被USCIS要求RFE了 原因是
Specialty Occupation。
公司请的律师是Fragomen的，律师说RFE的事情 我本人不用参与了 他和新公司的人（
估计是HR） 会一起准备材料 我最后review一下他的回复就可以了 他需要6-8周的准备
时间。
请问这个正常吗 回复一个要那么久吗？
还有 这个Specialty Occupation 是说我本人不需要参与 全靠律师和新公司的HR就能
搞定了吗？
一般Specialty Occupation的RFE的通过率 高吗？

第一次坐Cruise就觉得晚上Regular Dinner就非常好吃，比如龙虾，法国蜗牛，新西兰
羊排，formal night都有。所以那些要多花钱的specialty restaurant都没有去试，每
天从早餐吃到midnight buffet.
但后来去多了就开始挑食了，为了怕发胖也不敢多吃了，另外也觉得现在的CRUISE的
DINNER质量有所下降，所以每天早上先去看当晚的菜单，觉得菜一般的话就去
specialty restaurant订个位，specialty restaurant 也就多付$20-$25，觉得不贵。
$90的Chief Table我觉得还是挺贵的，除非是别人强烈推荐。 |

我们这个最早的estimate是4千7
以为要钉钉子外加implant什么的
最后算钱才3千2
specialty是贵，但是也没那么夸张吧？
另外你同事还得问问，这样的procedure他们一年做多少个
我们这个地方一星期就5 - 10次
很多DVM不是specialty也敢下刀子
很多specialty，一个月才做几个膝盖
这些地方都不要去。。。漫天要价还不好 |

医生活动腿的时候是在找drawer motion。

两个骨头理论上来说不应该有前后的移动的。
另外医生还可能感觉到有grind的fu。。。
但是还是拍个x ray看的更清楚。
还建议你直接求refer，然后到specialty doctor那里去拍。
一般general vet拍完了如果觉得有问题，还得让你去specialty。
specialty大夫比较喜欢自己重新拍。
你不一定要跟我们家一样做手术，但是起码知道是啥毛病。。。 |

？比如先rank 病理，后rank 内科, match 进内科，在病理的统计表里面算在"not
matched" 数据里吗？

大部分我前面都说到了，现在做个小结:
CMG match rate 低，是因为match 体制不合理，以及CMG在语言、文化、system familiarity方面的缺
陷，不能说明CMG作为医生的整体素质就低人一等。
Specialty 的自由选择受到限制，这是客观事实；但是受到限制的科室，譬如皮科放射
科， 怎见得就是first class Specialty, 而不受限制的儿科、家庭科、内科就是
second class Specialty 呢？在国内，也有所谓皮科是“一眼大夫”，而放射科是辅
助科室、不算大夫的说法。这种科室歧视的思想，是很不明智的，说是second class
thought，倒不为过。
Hospital choice不利于CMG，这也是事实。但是进了差的program, 前途未必就差。就
譬如申请 Fellowship，一个Queens 的 CMG，有很强的科研背景，住院期间努力工作而
得到很强的推荐信，以及申请fellow 的充足准备，比起一个Stanford的 AMG，科
研一窍不通、工作一般般，又没好好准备申请，你倒看看谁更有优势。

it just gives one more piece of information so ECFMG can attach correct LoRs
. PDs won’t be able to see this field. If you have a specialty-neutral LoR

Peds and FM, as long as you're sure the content of the letter is not for IM
only. |

- anesthesiology
- dermatology
- 4-year EM
- ophthalmology
- PM&R
- radiation oncology
- radiology
- neurology (TY must include a 6 to 8 months of internal medicine)
For AMGs TY interview invites are relatively easy to get, but one has to
compete with those competitive Derm, Rads, and Rad Onc candidates.
Also be careful that unlike preliminary medicine or surgery, transitional

2. Team work. Join group and share match experience. Group members can
discuss together and find out your problems you may otherwise never realize.
3. Never use negative words such as "quit". Say "can't continue because..."
instead.

去年我们这群病理新手在这种互相交流中受益匪浅。今年本来hemocell大哥开了个帖子

2。LOR一定要waive your right to read, otherwise PD will not read it. The
general rule is 3 LORs from the specialty that you are applying and one from

的成熟，卖地一直是我的精神家园。今天也来说两句经验教训，算是了尽微薄之力。
毕业7年，因为宝宝小，八月三十号还在做OB，弄到9月6日才提交申请。申请了IM, PMR
, 和Preliminary surgery, 总共拿到15个面试。 7个IM，2个prelim, 6个PMR。面了4
个IM, 2个Prelim, 2个PMR, 拿到2个IM prematch, 纠结之后接受了其中一个。
1. When you speak English, speak firmly!
自我感觉，无论走到哪里，英语基本都是那个最差的。不能跟印度, 伊朗，孟加拉比，
更不要说native speaker了。But be confident, and speak English firmly.
Remember they are not looking for someone who can speak perfect English, or

发帖数: 574 | 49 Why I would take you？ 这个问题的回答自己一定要把自己的闪光点展现出来，开始
几句一定要简明，抓住面试官的思维，而且不要落入熟套，大家都会用的形容词或者句
子，这时候再从你嘴巴里面讲出来，面试官估计就会感觉味同嚼蜡了。
另外问题 are you able to get back to clinic？她提到这个问题的回答要点首先要
点明 i am ready for that，然后 可以再提一下 there is always an opportunity
to learn。
specialty switch 对我们来说，也是一个非常常见的问题。Dr eng指出 对于这点的回
答，一定把这个看似 negative的方面转换为 positive，具体就是可以这么回答＂the
knowledge I got from others specialty will make me do even better in this
specialty＂
GAP 也是我们所面临的比较实际的问题。Dr eng 讲解的要点是＂其实人生没有任何的
