actually, I've talked about this issue--any specialty OB is helpful!
OB in specific specialty, of course help more for your application on that
specialty, but even you want to apply other specialty, like you OB FM but
want to do Path, such OB help you understand US clinic system, how physician
communicate w/ pt/pt's family, how physician work and work w/ his/her staff
, administration work, etc.......

specialties" on the cover letter. And let the writer know to write a general
letter for all specialties. I do not know how to ask them write different
letter for different specialty. Just my two cents. |

In all clinical boards in US, ONLY Radiology can allow u after fellowship
but no residency to take boards, and as long as u pass it, u r certificated
radiologist and qualified to practice.
At least one of my friend very close to me already done his Rad fellowship
and is preparing for his boards but already got job offer >300K/yr.
another very old CMG got into residency in very decent program and quit it

specific分开写信,如果推荐人只写一封信,在填表"申请的专业"填all specialties.信

residency programs within the same specialty in a row that you rank before
you rank a program within a different specialty. The idea being that if you
want to get into a more competitive specialty, you'll need to rank more
programs in that specialty before you start ranking your fall-back programs. |

Medscape found that pathologists ranked 15th in terms of pay. The highest-
paid specialties -- including radiology, orthopedics and cardiology --

not make a lot more than PMDs, then no need to go for specialty unless
really interested. So, what the reimbursement policy should do, if they
really want to decrease the cost and encourage residents to go for PMD
career, is to increase the reimbursement rate to PMD and decrease the rate
to specialties. If reimbursement doesn't change, people will still go for
specialty. |

second year specialty residency to be able to compete for a clinical
specialist position in the larger hospitals.
Most specialties require 1 year of specialty residency, thus 1+1, is a total
of 2 years of residency.
I know a lot of pediatrics clinical pharmacist positions require a total of
3 years (1 year of general + 2 years of specialty residency), only because
peds is a highly specialized area that requires extra trai |

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced
today that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to reach
the statutory cap for fiscal year (FY) 2011. USCIS is notifying the public
that yesterday, Jan. 26, 2011, is the final receipt date for new H-1B
specialty occupation petitions requesting an employment start date in FY2011.

不想花钱请，于是就自己做了。还没有招我的时候，我老板给我申请的；现在我决定自
己做，省点钱。：）
用的PP服务，6月13号收到的申请，6月16号就批了。呵呵，效率算很高了。网上关于第
一次申请H1B的材料比较多，但是没有明确的关于延期的。我就将自己的cover letter
分享一下，也算是回报板上的xdjm们吧。：）
另外，感谢LP的仔细检查，在我邮寄前发现了一个填表中的大错误，使我及时改过来了
，没有导致RFE或者rejection。 呵呵。好了，以下是cover letter 的内容：

1131：

memo说的核心就是15-1131 + Level I不能自动满足H-1B Specialty Occupation要求。
其实正如上面律所提到的一样，就算是15-1132/15-1133 + Level II这些都已经经常遇
到RFE要求解释Specialty Occupation，这个memo只是把实际操作标准用文字规范化了
。你实际做过就知道，Specialty Occupation可以4条里任选1条证明，基本上秒过没有
任何难度。USCIS就是用这个来拖时间恶心你，特别是针对加急申请
当然大部分人都不懂H-1B，这个自己没有实际做过都是纸上谈兵。码工position所有
case所有RFE均是100%通过的飘过 |

想咨询一下大家关于RFE的事情 我在做H1b transfer 被USCIS要求RFE了 原因是
Specialty Occupation。
公司请的律师是Fragomen的，律师说RFE的事情 我本人不用参与了 他和新公司的人（
估计是HR） 会一起准备材料 我最后review一下他的回复就可以了 他需要6-8周的准备
时间。
请问这个正常吗 回复一个要那么久吗？
还有 这个Specialty Occupation 是说我本人不需要参与 全靠律师和新公司的HR就能
搞定了吗？
一般Specialty Occupation的RFE的通过率 高吗？
