只有明确是entry level的职位可以接受两年制学位，没有明确是否要求美国学位，结合
an entry-level computer programmer position would not generally qualify as a
position in a specialty occupation because the plain language of the
statutory and regulatory definition of “specialty occupation” requires in
part that
the proffered position have a minimum entry requirement of a U.S. bachelor’
s or higher degree
entry level应该是要求美国学位

1). when I search on the provider's list , I was asked to select a specialty
of the further provider. Am I supposed to choose "family practice" or
whatever I want. For instance " internal medicine", "OB-GYN".举例来讲, 如果
一个医生的specialty 上注明是"妇产医生"或"皮肤科", 那他同时也可以作为家庭医生
来选择么?
2). 家庭医生是不是有点象国内的门诊医生,有"导诊台"的性质. 比如患者皮肤有问题,
家庭医生可以有权利和能力REFER 一个DERMATOLOGIST 给患者.这个理解是否正确? 如
果患者本人其他方面还好,但是有长年慢性的皮肤问题, 是否可以直接找一个"
DERMATOLOGIST"做家庭医生, 省去REFERRAL 的环节?

就像家庭医生可以看儿科， 但大多数家长更愿意找儿科医生一样。PD 相对于GD， 需
要在学校进行额外的2-3 年的专门针对儿童的训练。所以PD更加擅长发现和处理儿童牙
科的问题， 比如口腔的发育， 牙齿的咬合， 早期的口腔矫形。而且PD还专门在儿童
医院实习，专门训练给患儿给药（选药， 计量， 安全使用），还要学
BEHAVIORMANAGEMENT ，特别是对一些特殊儿童， 比如自闭儿， 多动症儿。另外， 专
门的PD诊所的设置也更加儿童化一些。

被Citi恶心了一把，碎碎念一下。。。
Citi Dividend好久没用了。这个季度看到他们有5% clothing store，于是逛街买衣服
的时候一般会用一下。没想到还是杯具了。
上月账单一共买了4次衣服，花了300多刀。自己琢磨5%的话，应该有15块以上的CB。正好能
把好久前攒的30多刀给一起兑换了。结果出了账单发现就6块多-_-b
原来Banana Republic的近200刀消费不算clothing store。尽管Citi自己说了他们不负
责识别商家汇报的category的正确性，但是还是觉得这事挺恶心的。
简单把这个季度自己小白鼠过的几家店列一下，如果有朋友也报告其它店的，倒是可以
一起整理个帖子看看

多了（我认识好几个女生上医学院的
时候生孩子，而且正常毕业，后来去了很competitive的specialty. 上医学院的时候不
是自己生，而是老婆生孩子的例子就
更多了。）个人觉得孩子和去好的residency不矛盾，不过医学院第三年的确有点忙，
第4年会好很多很多。
认识一个人他老婆在他第二年结束的时候生孩子，那时候他正好要考step 1. 他还是考

宝非常健康。
上周五收到了生宝宝的账单，坐月子闲的慌，我随手把我的账单晒晒吧。觉得账单有些
over-price,有经验的MM给点意见吧，我是否还能医院讨价还价一下。
我的保险不是很好，平常co-insurance要付20%，总体来说，这次账单看上去比较
reasonable,但觉得医院真是暴利啊，有几项非常over-price。账单总共收费$12834.05
, 这次保险公司好像讨价还价的幅度比较小，总共还价了$1339.72，付了$11494.33，
我自付$1063.72，这些不包括宝宝的账单。
over-price最厉害的是房间费用。我从进医院就一直呆在一个房间里，但医院房间的
charge分成5部分-一般的ROOM & Board,还有recovery room, labor room, specialty
room, Operating room，前四项要价近5000刀。住院2天2个晚上，几乎是2500刀一晚上
，这还不包括我的OB接生的费用！

发帖数: 36 | 33 出来澄清一下。我不是挖坑的。这边我是正经的读完了professional school 然后拿到
了学位，有完整的独立practice的license. 不是specialty, 也对申请specialty没兴
趣. 具体专业不便详述，不然很多人会认出我来。
我确实是很喜欢做研究，所以采用了一种极其非常规的办法，就是part time practice
, 剩下大部分时间炮实验室做博士后。收入确实是医生里最低的，如果全职practice
肯定是翻倍。但相比博士后又高太多了。我也知足。
这边目前我在找faculty position, 递了6个申请，目前只有一个学校面试，还在等结
果。
目前同时在进行第二篇文章的revision, 以及一个K grant 申请。这个grant中的可能
性很大。所以到年底的时候我计划再尝试一次申请，那时候有grant, 第二片文章出来
，把握会更大。
这边找工作的最大不利因素在于我目前老板，他是最不愿见到我独立的。因为没了我他
实验室基本就没发展前景了。凭他自己是根本发不了顶级文章的。 他实验室历史上就
没人拿到过faculty.

immigration lawyers doing court appearance is quite different from those
filling out documents (like EB specialty). |
