本来想抵制它，因为觉得它老板没诚信（听说他卖状元楼的时候说好不开类似的店的，
结果开了家几乎一模一样的）。可是架不住版上把它夸成了一朵花，还是去试了试。
点了个两张皮，没什么惊艳之处。点的海参扣肉，厨师大概放了一瓶酱油，比在状元楼
吃过的差太多（唔，听说chef ping的厨子就是原来状元楼的，但是这个味道真的差太
多太多！！）。
它们家旁边的Red Lantern倒是给了我个惊喜:红烧狮子头很赞，鱼片很新鲜！
旁边的马来槟城也不错。

我可以给你推荐一下chef ping的水煮鱼，
状元楼的牛肉面可以，不过by chance，每天厨师都不一样，每天一个味道。有的时候
60分，有的时候90分，就像是找女人，你永远不知道你的女人是在沙漠里递给你一块手
帕的，还是咖啡店里递给你一杯咖啡的。
总之，你在努力的生活着，等待上帝眷顾你未来。

Thai bowel，在lincoln ave上，十字路口交界处，这家老板开了2家，一家在uic边上
，妈妈是老板，儿子在UIUC念书，开在lincoln上，pad thai shirmp天下无双，比妈妈
店好吃。
水煮鱼。
2个版本，一个靠近国内版的，最好吃是chinatown的老四川，一个改良版，最好吃的是
chef ping。这2个味道在过去5年总是心中萦绕，即便是在国内都没有觉得这么好吃。
等我老回国5star测评以后，希望可以beat掉这2个味道。

还有和美女一起吃的黎巴嫩菜。

观maple syrup的制作，买syrup，参加各种游乐活动。这个周末washington和new

的还是挺不错的，早点也还可以，后来有一段时间没去了，然后有一天带朋友去，发现
菜单上好多地道的上海菜划掉了，点的菜要不就是没有要不就是不地道。有个韭黄什么
的，到结帐也没上来，原来他们要临时到鑫鑫超市买。
后来听waiter说，换老板了，现在是个福州人接受，不打算做上海菜了，太麻烦，尽管
那个上海大厨还在继续做。他们要加sushi bar, sushi又容易而且还挣老美的钱。 |

12。我们从菜单上没有看出什么特别，于是我们商量半天，我点了个
Nanjing Scallop，然后我的同事准备点它们的香炒牛肉，还商量是否
要汤的问题，这才发现汤只有酸辣汤，馄饨汤和另外一个什么汤三种。
正在犹豫中，过来一老头，我们就先要了个scallop，那老头当场就问：
是不是第一次来？我们说是啊，他马上就说那我知道你们喜欢啥了，然后
大笔一挥刷刷刷写了另外两个然后就要走。我们说你写的是啥啊？他
就给我们一看，好像说这是书法，你不懂地。总而言之我们看了个稀里
糊涂。
老头一走，我才想起墙上的照片，说这老头说不定是这Chef Fang的老爷子。
我同事说可能就是Fang本人年轻的时候，最后我们达成一致认为这就是
著名的Chef Fang.
我同事说他中午听那几个推荐的人说那里的厨师喜欢推荐菜，而且他们推荐
的准没错。于是我们就倍感欣慰。 |
